Darren Till is making a slow re-emergence on the scene following his UFC exit last year. That said, the fighter has not been idling his time but rather putting in the work to fully heal from his injuries. Not only that, but he has been diligently training in boxing, which has led to a lot of talk regarding his comeback fight.
For those unaware, Darren Till previously parted ways with the UFC after going 1-5 in his last six fights. Despite a lot of promise as a youngster, Till’s performances soon started to fade with the fighter clearly struggling on different fronts. As a result, he decided to step away from competition and work towards improving his health and properly healing from his injuries.

Contrary to what the media had reported, Darren Till seemingly asked to be released from the promotion to focus on recovery and rehabilitation fully. As such, the Englishman had extensive conversations with Hunter Cambell and Dana White, making his interest known to them. That said, Till intends to have a few boxing fights and find his rhythm before eventually returning to the UFC.
Darren Till reveals his intentions to fight Mike Perry in a mega-fight
All things considered, there is a lot of belief from Darren Till that he can make a go of things in boxing. With renowned kickboxers sharing how difficult it is to spar him, it has certainly raised fans’ expectations from the former UFC man. However, despite pro boxing being his next step, Till is open to other avenues as well, specifically influencer boxing.
Speaking in a recent podcast appearance with Ben Heath, the Liverpool native revealed all that he has in the works. Seeing the success and the money generated from influencer boxing, Till is keen to be a part of it and get his piece of the pie.
“It’s a no-brainer to take them types of fights. They’re the fights we’re targeting you know, your Tommy Fury’s, Jake Paul’s. Obviously, the biggest fight I want is Mike Perry. Me and him are destined to fight. It’s about six years (in the making).”
“Masvidal was talking today about fighting me again in a rematch. These are all massive fights that, as soon as I have my first fight announced, I’m going to be chasing all of that.”
As Darren Till suggests, a fight against Mike Perry remains high on his list. Previously, the 31-year-old had made his thoughts known about wanting to fight Perry on the MF x DAZN: The Prime Card, which saw the likes of Dillon Danis, Logan Paul, KSI, and Tommy Fury take to the ring. Although it did not transpire, it is a fight that he feels is bound to happen in the future.
Mike Perry calls for Darren Till after KO win at Knucklemania 4
For the most part, Mike Perry is equally as interested in wanting to fight Darren Till. Seeing that their rivalry is deep-rooted since their UFC days, it is a fight that the BKFC man has been eagerly awaiting. However, owing to contract complications and Till’s promise to the UFC, a bare-knuckle boxing match is likely not a possibility. That said, both fighters are open to other ways to have a fight materialize.
Previously, Mike Perry told Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour about a lucrative deal that Darren had rejected:
“Yeah, I heard he said no to over $2 million so, Darren is just yapping away over there. A lot of guys say they want to do it over there with boxing gloves or with gloves at least of some kind and with the UFC, and BKFC contract, the money is there, and those fights will happen.”
“If Darren Till said no to that much money then, I don’t know what he is looking for, and it’s fine because I’m the one here, I have a competition to compete in, I have an event to be the face of in the main event.”

Following his latest win over Thiago Alves at BKFC Knucklemania 4, Perry once again issued a callout to Till:
“Darren Till you fat, f*****g b***h! Get your a** over here, or I’ll come to the UK!”
In the past, Darren Till had made some unsavory comments about Mike Perry’s girlfriend and now-wife LAtory Gonzalez, and made a website showcasing Perry getting knocked out in boxing. Thus, their long-running feud will eventually have to come to an end, thus, it only remains to be a matter of time before it happens.
