Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and the Golden State Warriors haven’t gotten off to the best of starts this NBA season. Hence, we might just see the Warriors organization make a move as the trade deadline approaches. We all know that the Warriors are the defending champions after defeating the Boston Celtics in the 2022 NBA Finals.
Be that as it may, they are currently in the 7th position in the Western Conference, with a record of 26 wins and 25 losses. Most of their stars seem to be past their prime, especially Draymond, who also got into a physical altercation with his own teammate Jordan Poole a few months ago. That said, fans should certainly watch out for moves that the Warriors could make and hear out all the possible options for them.
The Golden State Warriors are interested in making a move for Philadelphia 76ers star Matisse Thybulle
It turns out that GSW is showing interest in Philadelphia 76ers star Matisse Thybulle. For those who are unaware, Matisse is almost 26 years old and has averaged 4.4 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1 assist throughout his career so far with the 76ers. While these statistics certainly don’t look extraordinary, Thybulle is listed at 6’5 and already has a reputation as a good defender.
Reports: The Warriors are interested in Matisse Thybulle.

If there is anything that the Warriors need at this point in time, it is a better defense. While Klay and Steph are still considered two of the best shooters of this generation, they are aging and can’t really be expected to play high-tier defense on the other side of the ball throughout the whole game.
Draymond is the player who is on the trade block right now for the Warriors. As some of us might be aware, he will soon be due for a contract extension and is looking for the maximum. However, that is something that the Warriors simply can’t afford to pay after giving Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole new contracts heading into this season.
Thankfully for them, Thybulle is currently on a 4 year $12 million deal and is significantly less expensive when compared to Draymond Green. Therefore, it is highly likely for the Warriors to part ways with him and use the money to bring on additional young talent.
All of this said, these are just rumors and we should remember that Green has been an integral part of the Warriors throughout their multiple finals runs. Thus, it is possible they keep him and still try to remain in contention for this NBA postseason.
