Memphis Grizzlies star, Ja Morant finds himself in hot water after flashing a gun on Instagram Live. This incident comes 2 months after his incident in Denver. Morant flashed a gun in a nightclub in Denver, which made the Grizzlies take strict actions against him. Morant went through counseling, worked on himself, and even apologized before going for counseling. However, his recent incident has made everyone criticize him.

After being eliminated from the playoffs, Morant was seen hanging out with his friend Davonte Pack. Where he once again flashed a gun on Instagram Live. However, as things stand no law has been broken. However, people are simply against his actions, and not because no law has been broken. It is hard to see anyone standing up for Morant, however, JJ Reddick has recently defended Morant in this situation.
JJ Reddick comes to the defense of Ja Morant who is subject to severe punishment by the NBA
Morant has already been suspended by the Grizzlies from all team-related activities indefinitely. However, NBA Commissioner, Adam Silver also had a say in this, who is assuming the worst for Morant. He believes that this time Morant could be facing many serious consequences. However, on First Take on ESPN, JJ Reddick has jumped to Morant’s defense, as a 25-game suspension is being speculated.
“Again we can go into the backstory of the incident with the teenager, Ja’s claiming self-defense. The teenager threw the ball at his face,” Reddick said. “As far as we know all of these things have been investigated, and no law has been broken,” Reddick continued. He believes that there is no illegality in light of the punishment and shouldn’t be faced with such a severe punishment.
JJ Redick got heated on First Take this morning
“WHY ARE WE TRYING TO LAY DOWN THE HAMMER ON A 23-YEAR-OLD WHO DIDN’T BREAK A LAW? EXPLAIN THAT TO ME !”

“So, why are we trying to lay down the hammer on a 23-year-old? Who didn’t break the law,” questioned Reddick. Morant is set to be facing a lengthy suspension from the NBA after Silver made it clear. However, it deems the question, of why Morant should be faced with such severe consequences.
As mentioned earlier by Reddick that since no law has been broken, why is it so? Morant has repeated an act that landed him in huge trouble in the first place. However, Morant shouldn’t be faced with huge consequences. In Tennesee, where the law allows its people to carry guns without a permit. So in truth, Morant has not broken any law.
