Israel Adesanya finds himself in hot waters ahead of his bout at UFC 287. A video uploaded on his YouTube channel, “FREESTYLEDBENDER” is doing the rounds for all the wrong reasons.
Former UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, has a shot at retribution on April 8, 2023. He will face the current champ Alex Pereira at UFC 287 for the second time in the Octagon. In their first fight at UFC 281, Adesanya lost his championship to Pereira in a heartbreaking fashion. Despite dominating the bout for 4 rounds, Pereira’s power proved too much and it handed Izzy the first stoppage loss of his MMA career.

Hence, Adesanya is leaving no stone unturned to prepare himself to withstand Alex’s powerful striking. But, Adesanya has gone through this same experience twice before. As many are aware by now, Izzy has two previous losses to Pereira during their kickboxing days. Hence, Adesanya will be desperate to finally break the curse and win against Alex at the upcoming PPV.
However, the focus has shifted to a questionable video of Adesanya during his fight camp. So what is the issue? Let’s find out.
UFC fans are in shock as Israel Adesanya chokes a female teammate
As previously mentioned, Israel Adesanya is currently having his fight camp. During one of the practice sessions, Adesanya was having some fun with his teammates. After completing the session, Adesanya greeted all his teammates. During that, one of his female sparring partners decided to flip him off. It was obvious that she was joking and Adesanya took it sportingly.
However, The Last Stylebender was not going to let his teammate get away that easily. After he was done congratulating everybody, Adesanya dragged his female sparring partner down to the ring and took her back. He then snuck in a rear-naked choke and held the sparring partner for a few moments until she decided to tap. During that, one of the coaches also played a hilarious prank and put his finger in the female fighter’s ear.
While Adesanya let go of the choke, he then tickled the fighter before finally letting her go. However, Adesanya made sure to let everyone know that he was not crossing the line, as he added, “Don’t worry, this is consensual.” He also joked that “She is trying to put a finger in my a**.”
Being a modern fighter, Izzy anticipated that fans would not react to the incident well and jokingly added, “They are gonna kill me on internet for this one. ‘Oh my god, she is in pain, stop. Oh no, she’s a victim.” That was exactly the case as fans made fun of the incident.
In an Instagram post shared by fullviolence, fans left some of their thoughts on the matter. User george-crepps added, “Imagine your girls boy best friend is Israel Adesanya.” User noandasa brought up the equation between Holly Holm and the current UFC heavyweight champ and wrote, “He think he’s Jon Jones.” Continuing the same train of thought, user ufc.grizzly simply wrote, “Blacked.”
Whenever there is anything related to Israel Adesanya, fans are bound to bring up Alex Pereira and there were some hilarious comments referencing Poatan as well. User sevketkartal wrote, “Poatan will come to avenge her.” The user also sbtheflea joked, “alex gonna do this to two girls to one up izzy.”
