Neymar got seriously injured in Paris Saint-Germain‘s last league game. He was instrumental for PSG against LOSC Lille while he was on the pitch, however, he suffered a gruesome injury that might keep him out for a while. What concerns most fans is if he will be available for the big UEFA Champions League clash against Bayern Munich on March 8, 2023. On the other hand, some fans believe the timing for this injury is sketchy.
One fan commented, “Propaganda! I’m not believing this again.”
Another said, “Checks calendar. Yep its that time of year again.”
While another questioned, “Off for his sister’s birthday as per usual?”
Apparently, Neymar is always unavailable during this time period due to one injury or another. Fans like to claim that he makes it up so that he can go and attend his sister’s birthday. Obviously, this is a fan-made theory, however, it has gotten out of hand.

Some fans defended the Brazilian. One commented, “Yeah lets make jokes about his sister’s birthday instead of discussing the atrocious protection players get in Ligue 1”.
Another fan, who seemed frustrated with the propaganda comments, stated, “This guy could tear three ligaments, puncture his lung, break three ribs, get hit by Alonso in a Range Rover and people would still make jokes about his sister’s birthday…”
Neymar’s injury looked very serious to the naked eye. PSG stated that an MRI and preliminary checking have been done. It is believed that there is no fracture, however, the extent of the injury is still not known. He might be back in action after three weeks of rest.
PSG’s Neymar suffered a gruesome ankle injury against LOSC Lille
Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and Lionel Messi started against Lille and all three needed to contribute in a dramatic game. PSG was up 2-0 after 17 minutes with goals from Mbappe and Neymar. However, their poor recent form meant their confidence was low.
Before the half-time break, Bafode Diakite headed in to make it 2-1. In the 51st minute, Neymar had to be stretchered off the pitch. It was a difficult sight. The Brazilian rolled his right ankle under pressure from an opposition defender while running at full speed.

The attacker was in a considerable amount of pain when he tried to stand up and put weight on his injured ankle. However, it was too much pressure and he used the stretcher to take his exit. Following this, Jonathan David then netted from the penalty spot and Jonathan Bamba scored at the near post to make it 3-2 for Lille.
PSG still managed to earn the three points as Mbappe and Messi were on target late in the game for the French champions.
