WWE has been making a lot of headlines recently. Initially, it created a sensation after announcing its merger with the UFC. Then the news of talent and corporate releases came through, followed by the news of AEW giving tough competition to the Stamford-based promotion. In such circumstances, it seems WWE legend John Cena has an opinion to share.
WWE recently merged with the UFC under TKO Group Holdings. This resulted in the Stamford-based promotion cutting talent in a huge capacity. Several top-level Superstars have recently been released by the company.
In addition to that, WWE veteran Edge recently left the promotion to sign with WWE’s rival promotion, AEW. With Edge’s arrival in the promotion, the Jacksonville-based promotion has been giving stiff competition to the Stamford-based promotion. However, despite everything happening around him, John Cena remains confident.

With all of the things, from an administrative and business standpoint, that’s going on, from the influx of talent that we have, through the advances in recruiting that we have. We’re gaining the best”.
Cena then added that he will always consider himself to be a part of the WWE family. He continued by saying that the Stamford-based promotion is currently better than it was in 2010. He also mentioned that the company is better than it was in 2015. Cena lastly added, “It is a better place now than when it was when I was a full-time performer”.
