The WWE saw massive success under the leadership of Stephanie McMahon and Triple H since they took over from Vince McMahon last year. While Triple H became the Head of Creative, Stephanie was the Chairwoman and co-CEO of the company. The Stamford-based promotion also generated record revenue in the year 2022.
It looks like the good times are about to end abruptly after Vince McMahon recently made his return to the company. The reported reason behind McMahon’s return is to find a potential buyer for his company. Following Vince’s return, his daughter Stephanie resigned from her role. Triple H has retained his position and many believe that he will also be replaced in a matter of time.
There were rumors that McMahon had reached an agreement with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund for the sale of the company. Although this news was later reported to be false, many believe that Saudi Arabia acquiring WWE is inevitable. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, according to reports are, unhappy with the rumored WWE sale to Saudi Arabia and there is a big chance that they might rethink their positions in the company if the sale goes through.

PWInsider‘s Dave Scherer recently discussed the chances of Triple H and Stephanie starting a new promotion if Saudi Arabia buys the WWE and he had some interesting things to say.
“I would say no chance in hell, but I try not to speak in absolutes. Whatever the longest of longshots is, that is the answer here. With that said, if Vince really does the most heinous thing and sell to the Saudis, which would make the company a leper here in the US. I could definitely see Steph and HHH going to NBC Universal and pitch starting a company for them.” He said.
