UFC 269 is stacked with much-anticipated fights of Oliveira vs Poirier and Nunes vs Penna. However, apart from the main card the early prelims also have some exciting match-ups. One such bout is going to take place in the women flyweight division as Miranda Maverick will take on Erin Blanchfield.
Miranda Maverick recently made her debut in the promotion at UFC 254 against Liana Jojua. Maverick finished Jojua with a spectacular KO in the first round itself. Following a dream debut, she took on Gillian Robertson at UFC 260 which she won via decision. Her last fight was quite controversial as many favored her for the win but judges thought otherwise. However, she is coming off a loss and would look to bounce back.
Erin Blanchfield on the other hand is going to fight her second fight in the promotion. Her debut against Sarah Alpar went into her favor as she won the bout via decision. A win against Maverick would certainly boost her confidence.

Miranda Maverick vs Erin Blanchfield fight breakdown and prediction:
Both the fighters are promising prospects in a division that’s in desperate need of new contenders. Erin has a little advantage of both Height and Reach over Maverick. But, Maverick is stronger and bigger in size which might give her the edge in terms of wrestling since both the fighters even ground game skills. However, she might not control Erin on the ground for a long time.
When it comes to striking, Erin will enjoy her height, reach and speed advantage over Miranda. But, Maverick certainly has the power which won’t let Erin take much of a risk.
Since both, the fighters are almost equal in terms of style, in the end, the fight might go down to control time inside the octagon. Since Maverick is stronger he might use her power for clinching and get some control time. If she does that effectively it won’t be tough for her to get a decision victory.
