The UFC 283 PPV is set to air live from the Jeneusse Arena in Rio De Janeiro. The main card features two title bouts. Glover Teixeira vs Jamahal Hill for the vacant light heavyweight title and Deiveson Figueiredo vs Brandon Moreno for the flyweight title. Even with such high-profile names on the card, one notable exclusion from the event is Joe Rogan.
MMA Junkie reported that the former Fear Factor host, Rogan, will not be commentating during UFC 283. This means fans who have become accustomed to Rogan calling the action will be missing his quips and exaggerated reactions during bouts. The host of the JRE usually never commentates on international cards and UFC 283 seems to be no exception.

However, Daniel Cormier and Jon Anik will be present in the commentary booth for the event. The octagon interviews will presumably be conducted by Cormier, whereas Meghan Olivi has been tasked with conducting the backstage interviews.
With Rogan’s exclusion from this card, he is yet to make his first appearance in a UFC event this year. However, fans expect Rogan to make his return in March when Jon Jones comes back as a heavyweight to fight Ciryl Gane for the vacant championship.
Who will replace Joe Rogan at UFC 283?
Filling in for Joe Rogan at a UFC event is no easy task. The seasoned veteran has been regularly calling the action since UFC 40. And during his tenure with the company, he has called some of the biggest and best fights in the promotion’s history. However, the UFC has lined up quite a competent replacement for UFC 283.
Retired UFC legend Paul Felder will be replacing Joe Rogan in Brazil as reported by MMA Junkie. He previously filled in for Rogan at UFC 280 in October alongside Cormier and Anik. The analyst team will comprise current UFC welterweight Michael Chiesa, and former UFC fighters Gilbert Melendez and Din Thomas, alongside TV personality Michael Evans.
The card features Brazil local Glover Teixeira in the main event attempting to regain the championship after losing it to Jiri Prochazka at UFC 275.
Another hometown hero, Deiveson Figueiredo will fight Brandon Moreno for the fourth time in the co-main event of UFC 283. This will hopefully be the decider in their rivalry as the flyweight title is also up for grabs. Despite Rogan’s absence, UFC 283 is set to be a stellar card and a great start to 2023 for the company.
