UFC 286 is set to take place this weekend inside the O2 Arena in London. The PPV event is set to go live on March 18 with Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards in the main event. The pair has won 1 each of their previous two bouts. The rubber match between Leon and Kamaru seems to be a big deal for the welterweight division. Although Edwards is the champ, Usman is perhaps the favorite to win.
However, The Nigerian Nightmare was also heavily favored to win at UFC 278 as well. Usman was just a few seconds away from winning a record 16th fight in a row in the UFC. But then the famous head kick landed and it folded Usman and handed Leon a historic win. Rocky became only the second UK-based champion in UFC history. Hence, Leon’s first title defense in his home country is trending to be gigantic.
Aside from the welterweight title fight in the main event, lightweight contenders Justin Gaethje and Rafael Fiziev will fight in the co-main event. Conor McGregor’s teammate Gunnar Nelson will fight Bryan Barberena in the third fight of the main card. Former women’s flyweight title contender Jennifer Maia takes on Casey O’Neil and former middleweight contender Marvin Vettori kicks off the card against Roman Dolidze.
So how much money are the main card fighters set to make at UFC 286? Let’s find out.
