This is not a drill! UFC 300 is indeed underway and what a first few fights we’ve already had. With every single fight on this historic card, a must-watch, fans worldwide and fortunate enough to be in the arena have been dialed in from minute one. As such, let’s take a look at how the early prelims on the night played out.
For the most part, UFC 300, the promotion’s third centenary PPV event, ever since its announcement got the attention of the fans. Selling itself just by name, it is the hard work and dedication of Dana White and Co. that has resulted in an incredible card. Although they were unable to make some of the fights they wanted to, the card will go down as one of the best ever, regardless.

Whilst most of the attention will be at the top of the card, the early prelims feature three former champions Deiveson Figueiredo, Cody Garbrandt, and Jessica Andrade. Not only that, we also have a living legend Jim Miller along with two fierce lightweight competitors Jalin Turner and Renato Moicano to round out the card. Thus, the fans are in for some top-tier starters, with the appetizer and mains still to come later on.
UFC 300 full early prelims results
With that said, let’s take a look at how all the above-mentioned fights played out. Despite it being the early prelims, the stadium was already at near full capacity before the start of the first fight of the night. As such, it only speaks about the importance and draw of the fighters placed on the bottom of this amazing card. Without much further ado, let’s check out all the UFC 300 early prelims results.
Deveison Figueiredo vs Cody Garbrandt (Bantamweight)
In the first fight of the night, there were understandably a few nerves from the fighters in the opening few moments. However, Cody Garbrandt pressured forth with some swift footwork and just lightning-fast movement overall. All things considered, the first round was very ‘touch and go’ from both fighters.

In the second round, Deveison Figueredo decided to take the fight to the ground and found a lot of success. Having gone for an arm triangle, Figgy finally wrapped things up with a rear naked choke, submitting Garbrandt.
Bobby Green vs Jim Miller (Lightweight)
One of the biggest talking points coming into UFC 300 was Jim Miller and his milestone achievement of being the only fighter to fight at UFC 100, 200, and now 300. Despite a bright start from him on the night, it is clear that Miller, now 40 is not the same energetic and agile buck he once was.

As such, the second round saw Bobby Green pile on the pressure and pick Miller apart with his jab. Coming into the final round, Jim was badly bloodied and unable to see from his right eye. Either way, the fight went to a decision, which was unanimously in Green’s favor at UFC 300.
Jessica Andrade vs. Marina Rodriguez ( Women’s Strawweight)
Up next we had the return of the former strawweight champ Jessica Andrade who had a literally, tall task ahead of her in Marina Rodriguez. Despite a clear reach disadvantage, Andrade pushed the pace and pressured Rodriguez on the outside. Whilst Marina utilized her reach to get a few licks in, she was lagging behind on strikes and with her accuracy for the most part.

Notably, the former champ also managed to rack up nearly 4 minutes of control time. By the end, it was Andrade’s determination and pressure that took her over the line and fetched her the split-decision win in the mostly uneventful fight at UFC 300.
Jalin Turner vs. Renato Moicano (Lightweight)
One of the more underrated fights on the UFC 300 card, we have two top lightweight contenders rounding off the early prelims. Naturally, both fighters came for that $300,000 bonus and fought like it from the opening bell. For Renato Moicano, the game plan was quite clear, take Jalin Turner down and keep him there. Initially, he was finding a lot of success, till he lost focus near the end of the first round.

Finding himself on the edge of a straight left from Turner, Moicano was sent straight to the ground. For some odd reason, Turner chose to not follow up and paid the ultimate price for it. Naturally, Renato once again took his man down, however, this time he chose to implement his ground and pound, which eventually earned him a well-deserved TKO victory to close out the UFC 300 early prelims.
