UFC 300 is not too far away now, and fans still await the official confirmation for the main event. There have been some names thrown out, including Conor McGregor, Israel Adesanya, and Jon Jones. While Dana White seemingly confirmed McGregor wouldn’t be part of UFC 300, Jones came out publicly and confirmed that he was offered to fight at UFC 300 but decided against the idea due to the injury.
However, amidst all these rumours, someone who has kept on teasing his appearance at UFC 300 is former middleweight champion and arguably one of the greatest ever to step inside the cage, Israel Adesanya. Even his coach, Eugene Bareman, confirmed Adesanya‘s possibility of headlining UFC 300.
Eugene Bareman says Israel Adesanya can headline UFC 300
UFC 300 is a historic event, and it’s not surprising to see the UFC match-makers try to rope in as many big names as possible. With the likes of Justin Gaethje, Max Holloway, Jiri Prochazka, Charles Oliveira, and Aljamain Sterling, among others, making their presence felt, Israel Adesanya headlining the event is a cherry on the top!

Speaking on the Stylebender fighting at UFC 300, here’s what coach Eugene Bareman had to say.
“I can say that we’re ready to fight. He is in camp, has been in camp, and we answered that call, and they asked us can you be ready for this (UFC 300).”
“We assessed it because Israel is coming off an injury. We assessed everything and put everything together and we decided as a team that yeah, let’s get into camp. Let’s come back a little earlier at some risk, some proper risk… there is a strong possibility that this fight could happen on this date.” He said in a conversation with The Mac Life.
Bareman revealed Adesanya is currently dealing with an injury. However, looking at the risks and rewards of fighting at UFC 300, the team feels it’s the right decision to step into the camp and prepare for the historic event. Do you think Adesanya is making the right decision? Will a fight against Dricus du Plessis finally come together at UFC 300? Only time will tell.
