The untimely death of Bray Wyatt was something that left the entire industry devastated. A prominent name in WWE who still had a lot to accomplish left this world at the young age of 36, and it was something nobody would have expected.
As Windham Rotunda passed away on August 24, 2023, it’s been over a month. But those close to him haven’t been able to get over Bray’s death, as a WWE legend recently shared details about big creative plans with the iconic performer before his untimely death.
The legend is none other than former World Champion Matt Hardy, as he recently shared a vintage promo by The Wyatt Family Leader. In his tweet, the 49-year-old revealed how the Triple H-led promotion was planning to have him and Wyatt in a major storyline together.
[FULL PROMO] Just came across this promo that Windham & I did on our own & posted to socials. We were hoping to build backstory for our team, The Deleters of Worlds. It’s still so hard to believe he’s not here with us. pic.twitter.com/G3oLT2q2UZ

One half of the legendary Hardy Boyz, wrote, “Just came across this promo that Windham & I did on our own & posted to socials. We were hoping to build backstory for our team, The Deleter of Worlds.”
Concluding his emotional post, the pro wrestling veteran hinted how he’s still not been able to get over The Fiend‘s death. Matt stated that he still can’t believe that The Eater of Worlds is no longer in this world, and it clearly shows that Broken Matt still misses his friend very badly.
Matt Hardy shared a brief history with Bray Wyatt
The massive creative plans revealed by Matt were not able to be implemented before Bray’s death. But the 49-year-old still shared a brief history with The Eater of Worlds during his second return to the Stamford-based promotion.
In his last stint, Hardy and Wyatt were involved in a feud in early 2018, and the 49-year-old used his “Woken” Matt Hardy gimmick in it. This rivalry was the perfect way to elevate their characters, and it worked. Their matches were storytelling classes, and they delivered in a big way.
After going back and forth against each other for months, Bray made a surprising appearance at WrestleMania 34 to help Matt win the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. By doing so, Windham Rotunda turned face for just the second time, and it was only after this that both of them started competing as a team.
The duo was named “The Deleters Of Worlds,” and going well with the name, they deleted all challenges to advance to the finals for the vacant Raw Tag Team Championship. In the final match, Bray and ‘Woken’ Matt defeated The Bar on April 27, 2018, to win the tag team gold.
Their team remained at the top of the division for three months before losing their titles to Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel at Extreme Rules in July. After this, Hardy took some time off, and this was the end of their journey as a team. Even though the two only had a single title run, it was great for both of them as their characters complimented each other brilliantly.
