Joe Rogan addresses the rumor that the Saudi Public Investment Fund has purchased the WWE. In a recent edition of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” he discusses a potential deal between Saudi Arabia and the world’s largest pro-wrestling promotion.

Joe met down with Andrew Santino and talked about the PGA before delving into the LPGA. Aramco, a Saudi oil firm, is already the world’s largest supporter of women’s golf. Aramco supports six Ladies European Tour events with a total prize purse of $6 million.
When the subject of Saudi Arabia came up, Rogan was eager to bring up the widely circulated claim on Twitter that the WWE was potentially sold to Saudi Arabia. Rogan revealed the backlash against it in the WWE universe. “WWE fans are freaking out,” Joe stated. Andrew was not that surprised by the news and just stated, “Well there’s no Divas now, there are gonna not be any women”.
Stephanie McMahon resigned from her position as WWE president last week. Following her announcement, reports surfaced that WWE had been sold to Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, as reported by a DAZN report. WWE will “return to being private” for the first time since becoming a publicly traded company in October 1999, according to DAZN’s Steven Muehlhausen.
The sale has not yet been formalized, but the consensus seems to be that WWE has decided to sell the company in general.
Backstage reactions on WWE sale rumors
The return of Vince McMahon to the board of directors to facilitate the company’s sale has been a discussion in the wrestling industry in recent days. Backstage in WWE, however, McMahon’s return and rumors of a sale have caused a lot of resentment among the company’s talent.

Per PWInsider, there were a handful who have said they are ‘less than pleased’ about the thought of McMahon’s return, with one referring to it as ‘the T-Rex being let out of the pen’.
Former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston recently spoke with SHAK Wrestling on the reaction to the sale talks, adding that everyone is focused right now on putting on amazing matches regardless of who is in charge. “I think we all kind of have the same mentality. Whatever happens outside of the company is going to happen. We really have no idea what’s transpiring. But our role, again, remains the same. It’s to go out there and put on great matches.”
WWE superstars can put on a spectacular performance of wrestling regardless of who runs the business. They are among the best in the world, and there is no doubt that the company will remain at the top despite everything that’s going on.
