Not many fans are trusting what Ja Morant said in his latest apology. As most of us should know by now, the Memphis Grizzlies star has come under the microscope for his behavior involving firearms and has even been suspended by the NBA for 25 games. Although one could claim that he did nothing wrong, this simply isn’t a good look for the league.
Moreover, this is not the first time the NBA has punished him for similar actions. Therefore, his latest apology didn’t really get through to fans and convince them that he has changed. With that being said, let us take a closer look at his apology and how fans are reacting to it.
NBA fans are unconvinced by Ja Morant’s latest apology
It is quite difficult for most of us to decipher what is going on in this situation. Ja is displaying questionable behavior and didn’t seem to learn the error of his ways after being suspended last season. After being associated with a firearm for a second time., it was quite hard for the Grizzlies star to muster up a defense and explain his actions.
A lengthy apology and explanation were made public from his side after news broke out about his suspension.

As we can tell, it seems like a fairly straightforward apology. However, fans heard something similar the first time and were unwilling to accept his apology and refuse to believe that he will change for the better, “Words are cheap, let’s see about the actions that follow.”

Others also didn’t like the fact that he seemed to be hiding behind the label and notions of mental health. After all, behaving like a gangster and then blaming it on depression could be considered quite absurd. Fans also questioned the very legitimacy of the apology and wondered if Morant had written it himself.
Stop using mental health as a crutch man ain’t nothing wrong with him other than wanting to be something he not

In any case, we can assure fans that Ja Morant likely knows how the world views his actions. He has been sharing far too many explanations and excuses. Hopefully, all of his off-court antics come to an end and he can get his focus back to the NBA
