From being a Disney actor to conquering the world of YouTube, Jake Paul does not stop until he fulfills his quests. But, YouTube was not enough to keep Jake happy as he caught the boxing bug. He put all his focus into it and became a respectable name in the sport. However, it looks like Jake is now setting his sights on NFL!
A major bombshell news dropped earlier when Jake Paul announced across his social media platforms that he has signed for an NFL team. Not just any other team, Jake signed for his home team Cleveland Browns.
Paul was born in the state of Ohio and the Browns are his hometown team. Jake was obviously ecstatic about the news and shared the video of a facetime call with Browns’ executive vice president JW Johnson. Johnson was very happy to welcome Paul to the team and wanted Jake to sign the contract as soon as possible.

“No man, we’re fired up. Can’t wait too. Get you here today and get you to sign that contract. We’re excited to have you be a part of the team,” said Johnson. He continued, “get here safe, we’ll get it all signed up and we’ll have a nice little day and hopefully, your family will be here. It will be quite the experience for sure.” After the call ended, Jake was as giddy as a child and added, “I’m in the NFL!”
Fans react to Jake Paul signing for the NFL team Cleveland Browns
The news comes as surprise to fans around the world. Although Jake was a big NFL fan, it looked like he was going to continue with his boxing career. Not so long ago, Jake defeated an MMA legend and the former UFC middleweight champ, Anderson Silva, in a somewhat one-sided bout. It looked like he was going to kick off 2023 with another boxing match.
But, Jake’s recent announcement makes it seem like Paul is putting boxing on the back burner. Not many break into an NFL team. Even former UFC champ and WWE champ Brock Lesnar could not cut it into the league. However, it is not apparent if Jake will actually be a part of the playing squad or if he just signed up on a purely promotional deal. He will wear jersey no. 00.
Regardless of his playing future, it sparked some hilarious reactions from the fans on Twitter. While some are in just pure disbelief, others trolled the decision to have Jake on board.

So it appears that the decision from the NFL team was quite polarizing.
“The Problem Child” expressed his wish to play for the Cleveland Browns earlier
It looks like the move is a dream come true for Jake Paul. Previously, the 25-year-old revealed his wish to be in the NFL. During an appearance on his brother Logan Paul’s podcast, Jake stated his love for the league and expressed his wish to sign for the Cleveland Browns!

Jake said, “I wanna go to the NFL after this. Like legitimately, just to play like safety and just deck people. No, I swear to god, and I’m about to bring hella ratings to whatever team I’m on.” After being asked which team he wanted to play for, Jake added, “sh*t, the (Cleveland) Browns. Would you have ever thought that I’d play for the Cleveland Browns? No right?”
