Thus, the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Eagles 38-35, winning their second championship in 4 seasons. With their dominance at the top becoming a recurring matter, many have been left wondering whether a new dynasty has been formed. For the most part, the team consists of some young talent and arguably the league’s best player Patrick Mahomes, meaning that the Chiefs are here to stay.
Despite the loss, there were some remarkable performances from the Eagles’ side as well. As such, Philadelphia’s Jalen Hurts put in a performance of a lifetime, nearly putting in an MVP performance. Without a shadow of a doubt, the MVP of Super Bowl 57 was Kansas City Chief Quarterback Patrick Mahomes. On Sunday, Mahomes was named Super Bowl Champion and MVP for the second time in his career. Thus Mahomes becomes the sixth player to win multiple Super Bowl MVP awards

The Chiefs quarterback completed 21 of 27 passing for 182 yards and three touchdowns. Notably, Mahomes was also playing with a sprained ankle, making his performance even more commendable. Interestingly, Mahomes was named MVP for the second time. The 27-year-old played on with an aggravated sprained ankle to cap off a historic night for the Chiefs.
Aside from his shenanigans on the night, Mahomes has had a stellar season as well. The Kansas City QB led the NFL with 5,250 passing yards and 41 touchdowns in the regular season. Thus, he is the only quarterback to cross 5,000 passing yards and 40 touchdowns this season. As such, Mahomes’ statistics have earned him the NFL MVP honor along with the Lombardi Trophy, and now the Super Bowl MVP.
