Josh Allen is undoubtedly one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL at present. Allen has been the top player for the Buffalo Bills throughout the last 5 years. The team has begun its campaign for the 2023 regular season against the New York Jets. However, it didn’t go as planned, as the Bills faced a loss against the Jets.
Despite losing their star quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the beginning, the Jets thrashed the Bills by 22-16. The Bills relied on the quarterback to lead them to a win. However, Allen couldn’t succeed in it as he recorded only 1 touchdown and 3 interceptions for 263 passing yards. The star player’s performance on the field was quite disappointing, and fans are already enraged.

Week 1 concluded with a total of 16 games. As compared to Josh Allen, there were some quarterbacks who performed quite well. However, there are a few big names who failed miserably just like Allen did during the recent game.
Kansas City Chiefs star QB Patrick Mahomes recorded 2 TDs and 1 interception for 226 yards. Detroit Lions’ Jarred Goff passed for 253 yards with one touchdown. Cleveland Browns champ DeShaun Watson recorded a TD and an interception for 154 yards. Patriots star Mac Jones exhibited great gameplay with 3 TDs and 1 interception for 316 yards. Other than him, it was Vikings star Kirk Cousins who had 2 TDs and 1 interception for 344 yards.
Other than Josh Allen, Vikings star Joe Burrow didn’t appear to be in form and couldn’t get even a single TD. Texans star CJ Stroud also faced the same fate as Burrow while passing for 242 yards. After a disappointing start, Allen must be looking forward to performing well in future games.
Josh Allen was stellar throughout the last NFL season
Josh Allen might have suffered in his first game this season, but the quarterback had an amazing last season. The NFL star completed 26 out of the 31 passing attempts he made in the first game last season. He passed for 297 yards with 3 TDs and 2 interceptions. As the season went on, Allen’s performance kept on getting better.
After 16 games last year, Josh Allen was standing strong with more than 4,000 passing yards for the 3rd consecutive season. The Madden 24 cover star recorded a total of 35 passing TDs and 6 rushing TDs. His stellar performance led the Bills to its 3rd consecutive AFC East division win.
Throughout his 5-year NFL career, Josh Allen had completed 2,607 of his 1,633 passing attempts. He has recorded 139 TDs and 63 interceptions for 18,633 passing yards till now. There’s no denying the fact that the star quarterback has the potential to thrash the opponent. For now, fans are expecting their favorite quarterback to bounce back stronger and lead the team to the Super Bowl.
