Not many brothers can claim that they have both won a Super Bowl. However, both Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce have won a Super Bowl with different teams. Jason Kelce, the elder brother, won the competition in 2018 with Philadelphia Eagles. His younger brother, Travis Kelce has won the competition twice. His first Super Bowl win was in 2020 when Kansas City Chiefs won over the San Francisco 49ers.
Travis’ second Super Bowl win was in 2023. Although it was a close game, the Chiefs beat Philadelphia Eagles 38-35. Alongside Patrick Mahomes, Travis played a crucial role in handing his team the win. But the final was significant for both Kelce brothers. While Travis was the one to lift the trophy, Jason also had a terrific game.
Although the brothers share a very wholesome relationship, both left their all on the fields to win the game for their respective teams. Two brothers going head-to-head in a Super Bowl game, that broke TV rating records, could have been a script from a Hollywood movie. So where did they grow up? Who are their parents? Let’s find out!
Who is Jason’s and Travis’ father Ed Kelce?
Jason and Travis Kelce were born to Ed Kelce and Donna Kelce. Jason was born in 1987 and Travis was born in 1989. They both went to Cleveland Heights high school and Cincinnati college. Ed Kelce apparently worked in the steel industry and he had a successful career. However, that is not something that he did out of love. His dream was to join the military much like his other family members.
However, he was rejected from both the military and the coastal guard services due to pre-existing conditions. Hence Ed had to pursue a career elsewhere. Much like his career, Ed also met his wife, Donna, luck by chance. Apparently, he was drinking in a bar after a hard day of work and met Donna. Although Donna was on her way to meet someone else, Ed Kelce won her over.

During an episode of “New Heights with Jason and Kelce,” Donna spilled the beans about how the two met. She added, “I was supposed to go out with a guy that night. We were supposed to go to a play, and I never made it. Your dad and I talked forever… It was a good play, too! I really wanted to see it… It was meant to be. It’s just the way it was.” (h/t via People)
After getting hitched in the later 1970s, they stayed married for about 25 years. However, their relationship came to an end after Jason and Travis finished their college education. Talking about the situation, Donna added that Ed and she were perfect for each other and they had a perfect family. Despite their divorce, the pair stayed in touch and kept supporting their children.

Donna often sports a dual jersey, with each half dedicated to one of her son’s teams. Although they were in different areas, both Ed Kelce and Donna attended the game between the Eagles and the Chiefs. They became the only parents with two sons playing for opposite teams in the Super Bowl. Ed and Donna are both healthy and they’re very much a part of their sons’ lives.
