ONE Flyweight Submission Grappling World Champion Mikey Musumeci is firmly in his sister’s corner.
“Darth Rigatoni” has been on Instagram trying to secure a ONE World Title matchup for Tammi following her IBJJF No-Gi World Championship win earlier this month.

The older Musumeci swept the field to add the 2023 IBJJF Worlds to her trophy cabinet that already included five BJJ World Titles, prompting ONE Women’s Atomweight Submission Grappling World Champion Danielle Kelly to throw down the gauntlet to the athlete who defeated her outside of ONE in 2021.
“I’d gladly take this match for the 125lb vacant grappling title match against Tammi @mikeymusumeci. I want to be the first-ever two-division grappling champion for @onechampionship,” Kelly wrote in an Instagram story.
ONE hasn’t created a strawweight submission grappling championship yet, although it has staged fights at the 125-pound limit, which have featured Tammi Musumeci.
Mikey Musumeci has a savage response to Danielle Kelly
Given that Tammi Musumeci doesn’t have an Instagram account, Mikey Musumeci responded to Danielle Kelly on his sister’s behalf in a typically friendly manner. Replying to Kelly’s story, the 27-year-old suggested a different weight class for the potential Kelly-Musumeci showdown.
“@daniellekellybjj this division doesn’t exist yet 😂 when it does sure! But first defend your jawn “title” 🤣 with my sis who doesn’t have an ig hahaha! Will be amazing watching you two grapple and growing women’s jiu jitsu across the world 🙂 💓,” he wrote.
Tammi is unbeaten in her two appearances under the ONE banner so far, with both contests taking place at the strawweight limit of 125 pounds. The 29-year-old has indicated her desire to compete at 115 pounds too. She has competed at 117 pounds in grappling competitions as recently as 2022, so the atomweight limit appears achievable for Musumeci.
Musumeci was last seen in the ONE Circle in July when she dominated Amanda “Tubby” Alequin en route to scoring a unanimous decision at ONE Fight Night 12. Kelly, for her part, claimed the inaugural ONE women’s atomweight submission grappling strap when she avenged another earlier loss to Jessa Khan by unanimous decision this past September.
