However, on April 26, 2024, the Wiseman of Reigns, Paul Heyman, announced that Roman had voluntarily withdrawn himself from the 2024 Draft. With that, the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion continued to be a part of the SmackDown brand division of WWE.
Meanwhile, Heyman recently revealed the actual reason why Roman Reigns was not present during the WWE Draft 2024. On the May 3, 2024 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Paul Heyman was spotted backstage with Nick Aldis. During that, the Wiseman confessed that he hasn’t spoken to Reigns since WrestleMania 40.

He further revealed that Reigns did not voluntarily withdraw himself from the WWE Draft 2024, but instead, Heyman pulled him out of the Draft. Thus, it seems Paul didn’t want Roman to show up during the Draft after his loss to The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL.
Roman Reigns’ return to WWE continues to remain a mystery
The Wiseman of Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, recently revealed that he hasn’t spoken to Roman Reigns since the latter’s loss against The American Nightmare. Also, Reigns’ appearance during the WWE Draft 2024 was stopped by Heyman, as he pulled Roman out of the Draft.
Thus, it can be understood that Roman’s return to WWE still remains a mystery. Meanwhile, it is worth mentioning that during his absence, Solo Sikoa previously introduced Tama Tonga as a new addition to The Bloodline. Also, Sikoa and Tonga attacked Jimmy and apparently threw him out of the faction.
In addition to all that, Solo began acting as the leader of The Bloodline. Henceforth, it can be stated that Sikoa and Tama have wreaked havoc in Roman’s absence. With that, now Sikoa and Tonga have a match scheduled against Randy Orton and Kevin Owens at WWE Backlash 2024.
