WWE Superstar Roman Reigns has been one of the biggest stars in the company for a long time now. Since his initial days in Triple H-led promotion, he has been dominating his opponents, and his rate of success has only gone faster in his journey as a singles performer.
Reigns made his debut back in 2012, and in just over a decade, he has been able to become the face of the Stamford-based promotion. The Tribal Chief is currently in a historic reign as he has held the WWE Undisputed Universal title for 1142+ days. This makes his run the longest reign of any championship since 1988.
The 38-year-old is surely a megastar in the pro wrestling industry, but it is not something he would have imagined in his early life. The reason behind this is the kind of jobs he did before joining the Triple H-led promotion. You might be surprised to know that the 6-foot-3 in-ring star even worked as a furniture installer.

Roman’s sister used to run a furniture installation business in those years, and working in her company was one of the first jobs for The Head of the Table. Not just Reigns; The Usos also worked at the same place. But, after the late Umaga gave them an ultimatum, they started pro wrestling training, and the rest is history.
Installing furniture isn’t the only job Roman Reigns did before joining WWE
The Tribal Chief hasn’t just worked in her sister’s company before joining WWE; but did some other jobs too. One of them was playing football, as Roman had a professional career in the NFL.
Initially, Reigns played college football for Georgia Tech, but he was unable to get selected in the 2007 NFL draft. Still, he didn’t lose hope and began playing with off-season stints with the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Due to his game skills, the Minnesota Vikings signed him in May 2007, but he was later released. Following this, Roman finalized a deal with Jacksonville Jaguars in August. But he was released just a week before the 2007 NFL season.
In the next year, he played for the CFL’s Edmonton Eskimos, but later got released. After this, the 6-foot-3 retired from football and trained to become a pro wrestler. His hard work gave him results, as he was signed by WWE in 2010. Roman then made his main roster debut in 2011 as a part of The Shield.
It’s been 11 years since he first appeared on the main roster, and he has accomplished a lot in WWE. Reigns is a 6-time World Champion, a one-time Intercontinental Champion, a former US Champion, and much more.
The Tribal Chief has achieved almost everything in the company, and it makes him one of the top few names in the current generation. With him still going strong and also being in an iconic title-reign, it remains to be seen what’s next for the WWE Undisputed Champion.
