Sheamus has been one of the most highly prized superstars in WWE for more than a decade now. He has been a former champion and a member of The Brawling Brutes. The Celtic Warrior had his last match with Edge on August 18, 2023, and since then, he has been missing from the action.
That was most likely Rated R Superstar’s last match in WWE before he joined the AEW. In their last fight, both of these superstars were widely acclaimed. Sadly, Sheamus had a shoulder injury in that match, and he went off-air after that. However, some reports confirmed that Sheamus still has his contract with WWE, which will last until the first quarter or first half of 2024. His contract will likely be continued further after it.
His return was under apprehension when WWE removed The Great White from all the promotional merchandise for SmackDown in November 2023.
Sheamus is not happy with his handling at WWE
The Celtic Warrior has expressed his unhappiness with WWE publicly. In his interview with ‘The Daily Star,’ he stressed the fact that the company was not handling him properly.
He said, “What I was upset about and what really bothered me was the creativity after that. I came out of that with so much organic momentum, and it was just wasted. It didn’t go anywhere. It was a dead end, just like with WrestleMania. Drew went away because he was injured, but I was ready to go, and then just nothing. There were no avenues and nowhere to go, and that’s frustrating”.
According to him, his potential was wasted after a fantastic match with Gunther in the Clash at the Castle 2022. Sheamus believed he had momentum going on, which was not utilized.
Fans have loved Sheamus for years, and it is uncanny that WWE will let go of him easily. The company has advertised him for the December 15 edition of SmackDown. However, the fans might also see him on December 8. It will be exciting to see if he goes back to The Brawling Brutes or does something else.
Sheamus was recently seen at the Big 12 Championship game with other WWE superstars
Sheamus could soon return to the WWE, and the company may also have some plans for him ahead of their grand event, WrestleMania. However, The Celtic Warrior was recently seen at the Big 12 Championship football game. He was present there along with other WWE Superstars, including Drew McIntyre, Samantha Irwin, Jade Cargill, and The Undertaker.

Sheamus has proven his worth as a superstar throughout his time at WWE and feels frustrated that the Triple-H-led promotion is not valuing him as they should. He has shown his ability as a crowd-pleaser and also played a very good heel. It would be plausible to say that the Stamford-based promotion will use him as an asset, and fans will get to see more in-ring action from The Great White.
