Why did Darren Till start training with Khamzat Chimaev?
The duo scraped a lot of attention from fans on the internet. Both have skills that they can share to hone their skills. The question is, what made Darren train with Khamzat in the first place?
Speaking to Front Kick in an exclusive interview, here’s what Darren talked about how he was invited by Khamzat to train after losing his bout against Derek Bruson in September -:
“Basically, when Khamzat had his first UFC fight I thought ’who is this guy?’”, Till said, “So I messaged him on Instagram and I was like, ‘Hey bro, you wanna fight?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, yeah, I wanna smash you brother,’ and I was like, ‘Okay’. We did an Instagram live as well and he was like pulling a knife out, and I was like, ‘This guy is like the Swedish Darren Till, he’s crazy!’ But I liked him, I liked his attitude. I watch a lot of his videos where he was working hard and I was like, ‘I like this guy.’ So we stayed in touch, you know?
Darren was in touch with some people from the All-Stars gym and was feeling demotivated after losing his Vegas fight. that is when Khamzat extended Darren an invitation to train with him providing him support and motivation. Darren readily accepted the invitation after speaking to his team and they began training again.
Fans can expect some blood-rushing fights with the duo pairing up and helping each other level up their game.
