Lionel Messi led his team PSG to victory after scoring a brilliant goal in the second half to complete a comeback against 12th-placed Toulouse to take their lead to 8 points at the top of the table. Toulouse went in front and scored the first goal through Branco van den Boomen who scored a brilliant free kick in the 20th minute of the game.
The game was a stellar site for fans who love to watch long-range goals as all the goals were scored from outside the box. Achraf Hakimi equalized the score for PSG as he curled in a wonderful shot from his left foot in the 38th minute and both sides reached the half neck to neck even though PSG enjoyed the lion’s share of possession.
The second half began on the same front with PSG throwing men forward to take a lead and they got the desired result in the 58th minute through the World Champion Lionel Messi who curled his effort with a first-time strike from outside the box and left fans stunned. The goal reminded fans of one of his goals against Real Madrid where he scored in the same fashion to win the game for Barca.

PSG was missing the other two members of their star trio as Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr. both missed the game because of injuries. Mbappe sustained a thigh injury while playing against Montpelier and the PSG management confirmed that he’ll be out of action for some time and will PSG’s UCL Round of 16 first-leg match against Bayern Munich.
Messi stepped up in the absence of his fellow superstars and won the game for his team and fans couldn’t stop talking about him carrying the dead PSG team on his own without Mbappe and Neymar. He was helped by another superstar, Achraf Hakimi, who lit up the field with his attacking runs as he has been doing his entire career and has made a name for himself for his attacking instincts.

We spotted another fan who believed that this is what Messi has been doing his entire career, winning the games for his team playing from the false 9 position. They believed that the PSG coach knows Messi’s ability and Messi is doing his job by carrying the team.

We noticed a fan who was full of appreciation for Messi and said that he has been carrying teams since his debut. They talked about how Messi carried Argentina from his debut to World Cup 2018 single-handedly and also carried FC Barcelona in the 2018/19 season and won La Liga with them.

It seems that Lionel Messi is not going to stop stunning fans anytime soon as he has been giving match-winning performances day in and day out but the question amongst fans will be where will Messi play next season as the situation around his contract renewal with PSG has been delayed again.
