Cristiano Ronaldo has finally decided on his next club to be Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr after a lot of drama throughout the first half of the season. However, it is a question on the US soccer fans’ minds if they can watch the Saudi Pro League or not.

Cristiano Ronaldo has had a pretty tough half-a-season in a Manchester United shirt. The new head coach Erik ten Hag and the veteran striker didn’t have the best of starts. Situations worsened as Ronaldo refused to come on as an 87th-minute substitute in a win against Spurs. Anthony Martial was preferred ahead of the Portuguese and it didn’t sit well with the serial winner.

Just before the World Cup, he released an interview with Piers Morgan which set the internet on fire.

The explosive interview saw the Portuguese get his contract terminated with mutual consent. Ronaldo had a rotten World Cup campaign, where the Portuguese didn’t even make it to the starting eleven in the knockout stages. Ultimately, Morocco handed the Portuguese a shock result with a 1-0 win in the quarter-final stage.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s interview, bashing the club he was on a contract with, seemed extremely unprofessional. Big clubs around the world were skeptical, to say the least. However, Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr looked always interested to bring the Portuguese superstar in with a formidable contract on the table. On the last day of 2022, Cristiano Ronaldo revealed that he is joining the Asian side in a $200 million deal per year.

Can you still watch Cristiano Ronaldo’s matches in the US?

Cristiano Ronaldo is the most influential sportsperson in the world. He has an unbelievable 526 million followers on Instagram. So, it’s natural that his fans will always have a keen interest in his moves. Ronaldo won league titles in England, Spain, and Italy. He will look to add another jewel to his crown following his latest move.

As a Cristiano Ronaldo fan, it will be difficult to watch live matches of Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League. Saudi Pro League doesn’t have any broadcasting partnerships in the US. The likes of OneFootball and, ElevenSports have the rights of the Saudi League. However, these two platforms only provide live score details and highlights, but not live streaming.

There is, however, a way to watch Cristiano Ronaldo in live action for his new club. Although the streaming platform, Shahid offers monthly and yearly subscriptions for the Saudi Pro League, it is not a cheap subscription at all. Shahid offers a monthly $18 subscription and a yearly $160 subscription for US viewers.

All you need to know about Al-Nassr and the Saudi Pro League

Cristiano Ronaldo is adding a new chapter to his exceptional soccer career. His new club, Al-Nassr, is based in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The club was formed 67 years ago in 1955 and is a club in the first division of the SPL. They are currently sitting at the top of the SPL with 26 points and 11 games played. Rudi Garcia is the current head coach of the league leaders. He has formerly managed the likes of Marseille, Lyon, and Roma.

The top division of the Saudi Pro League has 16 teams. Al-Hilal has won the league title a record 18 times followed by Cristiano Ronaldo’s new club Al-Nassr, who have won it 9 times. In the ongoing season, Al-Nassr’s Anderson Talisca has the most goals in the division with 6 strikes.

The champions of the division qualify for the prestigious AFC Champions League, where the best teams in the continent face each other. However, Cristiano Ronaldo won’t be able to play in the AFC Champions League because last season Al-Nassr finished third. The Portuguese is expected to make his debut on 14th January, against Al Shadab.
