Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably one of the greatest soccer players to ever grace the pitch. His tenure at Manchester United and Real Madrid are the most talked about spells of his career but very few actually talk about his time in Italy. Surely one of the most underrated spells of any soccer player is Ronaldo’s time at Juventus.
He wasn’t able to win a Champions League but was a pivotal part of their success for as long as he was there. Kevin Prince Boateng has played in the Seria A for teams such as Genoa, Sassuolo, Monza, and most importantly Ac Milan. In the 2019 season, he went on loan to Barcelona which was very shocking to fans around the world.
Recently he revealed on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube show Vibe With Five that Lionel Messi once asked him whether it is difficult to score in Italy, to which he replied –“I told him that it was more difficult that Ronaldo was there, and he scored every game for 3 years. People forget too easily what he’s done there”
🚨🗣️ Kevin Boateng (former Barca player):
“Messi asked me how difficult it was to score in Italy because Ronaldo was there at that time. I told him that it was difficult when Ronaldo was there. He scored every match for 3 years!” pic.twitter.com/OLlnAvxNuh

He also said that he had to lie about Messi being the best player back in 2019 because he wanted to put on the Barcelona shirt and play at the Camp Nou. It is quite sad that people actually don’t talk much about Ronaldo’s three-year spell at Juventus.
Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus: stats and trophies won
Back in 2018, Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid for Juventus in a transfer that broke the hearts of many fans. But probably EA Sports had to face the most amount of trouble as they had all the preparations made for FIFA 19 at that time with Ronaldo on the cover with a Real Madrid shirt.
It was quite evident why the Portuguese were brought to Turin, but unfortunately, Juventus were unable to win the Champions League and hence that part of Ronaldo’s career is very much overshadowed as he had won 3 Champions League in a row with his former club.

During his time in Turin Ronaldo has scored 101 goals and had 22 assists to his name in just 134 appearances. He had a goal every 114 minutes and a goal contribution every 95 minutes during his three-year tenure.
In the Seria A, he scored 21,31 and 29 goals each season and 14 goals in the Champions League. He was the club’s leading goal scorer in the three years and is also the fastest in the club’s history to reach 100+ goals.
Ronaldo is also the fastest to reach 50 Seria A goals and also holds the record for the most goals in a season by a Juventus player (37) in the 2018-19 season. He also scored in 11 consecutive matches equalling the record of Fabio Quagliarella and Gabriel Batistuta.
5 years since Ronaldo scored his first goals for Juventus.

Ronaldo won everything in Italy with the Seria A and Supercoppa Italiana twice and the Coppa Italia once in his final season at the club. Though short, Ronaldo’s time at Juventus is criminally underrated and needs to be spoken about more.
