Jeremy Renner is currently on the wrong side of the tracks, as he’s admitted to the hospital after a horrifying snow accident. Renner is best known for his heroic role of Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, he has proved to be a hero outside his reel life.
Jeremy Renner is probably the most underrated actor in the MCU. He first appeared in the scene, back in 2011 in the ‘Thor’. Since his appearance on the screen with a bow and an arrow, the California-born has become an integral part of the fanbase and the franchise.
Back in 2014, Hawkeye wore a soccer jersey for a great cause. He played in Jose Mourinho’s Rest of the World squad in the famous Soccer Aid event, held at Old Trafford.
Jeremy Renner was in the winning team for Charity Match Score
The Soccer Aid event takes place every two years. All of the raised money from the match directly goes to charity. Former superstar soccer players and mainstream celebrities get the nod to attract a large audience. The event is generally held at Wembley Stadium or at the Theatre of Dreams. The large capacities of these stadiums are the biggest boon in the cause.

The 2014 version of the event took place in Old Trafford with 65,574 fans in the stadium. The Rest of The World consisted of the likes of James McAvoy, Gordon Ramsay, and Jeremy Renner. Ex-soccer players like Clarance Seedorf, Edgar Davids, and van der Sar were also representing the Rest of the World squad. Jose Mourinho is known for his sideline antics and in this match, his tackle on Olly Murs brought out a lot of laughs.
Clarence Seedorf scored a hat trick to secure a 4-2 win for Mourinho’s team. But the actual goal of these charity matches lies way beyond results. This one match full of actors and former soccer players raised an incredible $5,139,499. All of that money went to the needy, through the hands of UNICEF. Jeremy Renner and co. proved to be real-life heroes by helping raise money for the needy.
Will Jeremy Renner’s legs be amputated?
This new year, Jeremy met a horrifying automobile snow accident that put his life in danger. Jeremy was spending his new year in Tahoe with his family and friends. He tried to help out a friend of his who was stuck with his vehicle in the snow. Renner brought a 14.5 thousand pounds snow removal vehicle and helped remove the snow. However, when he went out to inspect the situation, the vehicle started to roll down from the snow.
Jeremy tried to get back to the driver’s seat and stop the vehicle but the almost 15,000 pound vehicle ran over him. He was airlifted to the hospital ICU, immediately. Hawkeye, being the superhero he is, came out of unconsciousness after a few hours. His condition remained critical, but he is certainly out of danger. Jeremy posted a photo from his hospital bed on Instagram, which relieved the fans.
Although Jeremy Renner is currently not in danger anymore, it seems like he won’t be able to walk anymore. The snow plow may just have crushed his leg bones beyond repair. The doctors and the medical in charge of the situation are stating that his legs might need to be amputated. We pray for the real-life superhero’s speedy and possibly full recovery.
