A player’s relationship with the club is all that matters, once it is severed it can never be mended. A few days back Napoli’s TikTok account posted a video of Victor Osimhen asking for a penalty in a high-pitched voice and then missing it in the match against Bologna which ended 0-0. The video though was taken down shortly after very much offended their star player.
Roberto Calenda, Osimhen’s agent immediately wanted to take legal action against the club and Osimhen angered by this gesture deleted all pictures and videos from his Instagram account related to the club.
The Italian champions have broken the silence over the matter and said that it was never their intention to make fun of or mock the striker who is a treasure of the club.
They said – “On social media, and TikTok particularly, expressive language is used in a light-hearted and playful manner. In this case, involving Victor there was no intention of mockery or derision. If Victor was in any way offended, this was not at all in the club’s intentions.”
🚨 Napoli have released a press release explaining that they never wanted to offend or make fun of Victor Osimhen via the videos posted on TikTok:

Fans online have ridiculed this statement from the Italian club saying things like – “We’re sorry if Victor “perceived” it incorrectly, Not an apology”, ” No fr they should apologize properly” . “doesn’t sound apologetic enough but kinda defensive” etc.
Napoli are set to face Leece away in their next Seria A match before their big European clash against Real Madrid and despite the ongoing rift between the club and player, Osimhen is expected to start in both matches.
Where is Victor Osimhen’s next possible destination?
Scoring 31 goals across all competitions, Victor Osimhen helped Napoli to win their first Seria A title in 33 years. Napoli made their stance very clear saying that Osimhen is “not for sale’ in the summer. But now with the recent events that have taken place, it is not in the hands of Napoli to keep a hold of their star player.

Osimhen and his agent have the option to force a move out of the club if Napoli are unable to convince the player to stay beyond the transfer window.
In the upcoming transfer window, Chelsea might not make a move after already having players like Cristopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson in their ranks. Arsenal might join the race to sign Osimhen but money can be an issue for the Gunners after already spending big this summer.
Manchester United have signed Ramsus Hojlund from Atalanta but he might need some time to properly settle in the team. After a tough start to the season, United can try to bring in Osimhen to secure a top-four spot in the league.
Real Madrid has started the season without buying proper Number 9 after the departure of Karim Benzema, Carlo Ancelotti might just give in and place a bid for Osimhen who previously claimed that one day he dreams of playing at Madrid.

Saudi Arabian clubs like Al Ittihad and Al Ahli might also make a move for the player but it seems unlikely that Osimhen would move to Saudi at the prime of his career as money has never been an issue for him.
So far it is likely that his tenure at Napoli is coming to an end even though manager Rudi Garcia has said that he ‘loves the jersey’ and is 100% committed to the club.
