Cristiano Ronaldo has not enjoyed a dream start in Al-Nassr. Ronaldo sat out Al-Nassr’r last two matches as he was serving a two-match ban. However, the Portuguese star made his first start for Al-Nassr last week. It is safe to say that Ronaldo’s performance so far has been sub-optimal, which has enraged the Al-Nassr fans.
Ronaldo made his official debut for Al-Nassr last week in a 1-0 win against Ettifaq. The Brazilian midfielder, Anderson Talisca, scored the only goal in the match. Ronaldo put in a below-par performance, disappointing the fans who were excited about the Portuguese’s debut. Ronaldo’s latest outing was in a 1-3 defeat in the Saudi Super Cup against Al-Ittihad.
Talisca once again turned out to be the only goal scorer for Al-Nassr, while Ronaldo’s run of disappointing performances continued. However, the fans are not happy with the former Manchester United star, who failed to influence the result of the match. It was expected that a player of Ronaldo’s caliber would deliver outstandingly in the Saudi league. However, so far, that has not been the case.

Ronaldo endured a rather tough day at the office, as he missed a golden chance to score his first official goal for Al-Nassr. In addition to that, the Al-Ittihad fans chanted the name of Ronaldo’s arch-rival, Lionel Messi, during the match. After the match, fans were even seen stomping on Ronaldo’s number seven jersey.

Ronaldo certainly didn’t expect this reaction after he moved to Al-Nassr following his Manchester United exit. In his bombshell interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo revealed how he felt disrespected by his former club, Manchester United. However, Ronaldo certainly didn’t receive such harsh treatment from the supporters of Manchester United.
Al-Nassr coach Rudi Garcia blames Cristiano Ronaldo for Super Cup exit
To further pile up Ronaldo’s misery, Al-Nassr’s head coach Rudi Garcia bashed Cristiano Ronaldo for the Saudi Super Cup defeat at the hands of Al-Ittihad. According to Marca, Rudi Garcia pointed out Ronaldo’s miss in the first half as the turning point of the match. The French coach said, “Cristiano Ronaldo missed a chance that would have changed the course of the game in the first half, but I congratulate Al Ittihad.”

However, Garcia didn’t hold back from praising the ex-Real Madrid forward. Garcia said, “He is a positive addition, as he helps to open up the defenders. He is one of the best players in the world. He won’t finish his career at Al Nassr, he will go back to Europe.“
Although Al-Nassr lost in the semifinal of the Saudi Super Cup, they are currently sitting at the top of the table in the Saudi league. Al-Nassr, with 33 points and a game in hand, sit at the top, while Al-Hilal is second with 32 points. Although Al-Nassr is expected to win the league, coach Rudi Garcia will hope that his star forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, finds his form as soon as possible.
