Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has come out again and publicly mocked Kylian Mbappe. Last time it was among his teammates in the dressing room but this time it was as public as it could get. During Argentina’s trophy parade, which was viewed by millions on the streets and at home, Martinez was spotted holding a baby doll with Mbappe’s face on it.
To make matters worse, the Aston Villa goalkeeper Martinez stood next to the 24-year-old’s Paris Saint-Germain team-mate Lionel Messi while holding the doll.

Argentina has ended its 36-year wait for the FIFA World Cup triumph. The La Albiceleste defeated France in the final of the FIFA World Cup 2022 3(4)-3(2) on penalties. Martinez was instrumental in the victory as he made a point-blank last-minute save to take the match into penalties. He also saved one of the spot-kicks from the French. Messi was awarded the player of the tournament while Martinez received the goalkeeper of the tournament award.
Emiliano Martinez continues trolling Kylian Mbappe
Earlier, during the celebrations in the Argentine dressing room, the players danced around and were all heard singing “a minute’s silence for” together. They went silent after saying this and Emi Martinez shouted: “For Mbappe who is dead!”
“A minute of silence for … Mbappe!” 😅

The issues between Mbappe and Martinez began before the World Cup. Mbappe made a claim that did not go down well with South Americans.
“The advantage we have in Europe is that we play among ourselves with high-level matches all the time, such as the Nations League, for example,” Mbappe said.
“When we arrive at the World Cup, we are ready, whereas Brazil and Argentina do not have this level in South America. Football is not as advanced as in Europe. That’s why at the last World Cups, it’s always the Europeans who win.”
Martinez had replied to this during an interview that was held between mid-World Cup, “He doesn’t know enough about football,” Martinez said. “He never played in South America. When you don’t have this experience, it may be better not to talk about it. But it doesn’t matter. We are a great team, recognized as such.”
Martinez took the mockery a step further during Argentina’s open-top bus parade in Buenos Aires. Martinez, who was topless, was spotted holding a toy baby. The toy had a diaper on and a picture of Mbappe’s face stuck on its head.
Fans give Martinez a swift reminder
After the final, Martinez was seen consoling Mbappe which was considered by fans a great gesture. However, since then, the goalkeeper has constantly mocked Mbappe in one way or another. And fans have had enough of it. He has constantly been reminded by the fans how Mbappe beat him four times on the night of the final. The Frenchman won the battle of wits in penalties three times.
One fan said, “Someone needs to bring him back down to earth. Classless as ever.”
