In her song, Shakira defames her ex-boyfriend, Gerard Pique and Pique’s current girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti. Although Pique doesn’t seem to be particularly disturbed by Shakira’s new song, it has certainly taken a toll on Clara Chia Marti.

According to Marca, Clara Chia has sought professional help as her mental health is in a critical state. Shakira’s song has turned Clara Chia’s world upside down. As per Spanish journalist Lorena Vazquez, Clara’s daily life has taken a hit ever since the song got released. Lorena said, “They stop her in the street, they sing the song to her, everyone recognizes her, and as she is quite a shy girl.”
Lorena further pointed out, “She has needed a refuge because her state of mind is not good. It’s not easy being a girl of 23 and being on the lips of Spain and the whole world. It has taken its toll on her and she needed to take a step away.” In addition to this, there has also been reports of Clara Chia requiring a personal security guard every time she steps out in the public.

In a response to Shakira’s diss track, Gerard Pique finally made his relationship with Clara Chia Marti official. The former Barcelona defender posted a picture of him with his girlfriend on his Instagram account. However, Shakira hasn’t held back from making a retort.

After Pique posted the picture, Shakira posted a video of herself dancing to her new song. However, Shakira added a rather cryptic message along with the video. Shakira wrote, “Las mujeres ya no lloran las mujeres bailan merengue,” which translates to, “Women don’t cry anymore, women dance merengue.” The caption is a line from her new song, that is titled “BZRP Music Session #53”.

She wrote, “Here’s to all the women teaching me how to make sweet lemonade when life gives you those sour a** lemons.” Shakira had shared this post in order to celebrate her latest single making Spotify’s top 50 most played songs. Currently, Shakira’s single has amassed a massive 228 million views on YouTube.
