Cristiano Ronaldo joined the Saudi Arabian outfit after a hugely controversial fallout with his former club Manchester United. The Portuguese went to the World Cup as a free agent and Al-Nassr was the most interested in terms of landing his signature. On December 30, Ronaldo signed the most expensive deal in soccer history with the Saudi Club.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s signing was made official by the club’s social media accounts. Ronaldo will earn a reported $214 million in Al-Nassr, in a contract of two and a half years. Sepulveda said that the ceremony reached “3 billion views on 40 channels around the world.” However, the Spanish journalist also added if the World Cup final was shown on these many channels, it would have surpassed Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr unveiling.

Cristiano Ronaldo, however, has to serve a two-match ban handed by FA back in his time at Manchester United. The Portuguese was working out gym in a 2-0 league match win of Al-Nassr against Al-Tae.
