Cristiano Ronaldo has achieved unmatchable success in his incredibly distinguished career, playing for giant clubs around the world. He has won countless individual and club trophies for the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Juventus. However, Cristiano hasn’t forgotten the club, which helped him to give the platform for the player he is today. Today, his mother also showed how grateful she is for that club.
Cristiano Ronaldo was born in Madeira of Portugal, in 1985. He was born to his mother Dolores Aveiro and father Dinis Aveiro. Dinis Aveiro was a municipal garden worker and also a war veteran. Ronaldo had a very difficult childhood, but also had a keen interest in soccer. And Portuguese giant, Sporting Lisbon was there to offer him a chance.
Ronaldo made his official debut on September 29, 2002, for Sporting Lisbon in the Portuguese League as a 17-year-old winger. A lot of European clubs noticed his rise at Sporting. They were in pursuit to sign him. However, at the opening ceremony of the current Sporting stadium Estadio Jose Alvalade, they invited Manchester United for a friendly match. Sporting won the match 3-1 and an 18-year-old winger ran the show from the left wing.

Sir Alex Ferguson was mightily impressed and signed him on August 12, 2003, and gave him the iconic number 7 of Manchester United. And boy did he set another height to that shirt. When he left the club after six years of greatness, he left a legacy that cannot be ever matched. All thanks to Sporting to provide Cristiano with the platform he needed. Cristiano Ronaldo and his mother Dolores Aveiro are thankful to them to this day.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother wished Sporting Lisbon luck before the Europa League clash
Dolores Aveiro has been one of the most important parts of Cristiano Ronaldo’s career. She has provided the emotional support he needed to become the player he is. She showed her love for Ronaldo and Sporting Lisbon when Cristiano scored two goals in the Nations League match against Switzerland. Dolores was in tears after Ronaldo scored his second goal in the Estadio Jose Alvalade, the home of Sporting Lisbon.

Just a few hours ago today, Dolores Aveiro posted a picture of her on a rooftop of a house on her Instagram accont. In the caption, she has tagged Sporting Lisbon. The post says, “Good morning good luck @sportingclubedeportugal we are together.” She has most probably wished Sporting luck for their tonight’s Europa League second-leg clash against Midjytland.
There were subsequent rumors about Ronaldo’s return to Sporting after his Manchester United saga. However, it is almost clear that in the future the Portuguese will help his boyhood club in any way he can.
