United’s number twenty-five wore the number seven shirt during his time in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund. The Dortmund number seven could have expected to wear the same number for the Red Devils. He put the number seven throughout his four-year spell in Germany, in which he had a hundred and thirty-seven appearances for Dortmund. The youngster netted fifty goals for the Germany-based side and also has sixty-four assists for the club.
With the current dooming situation of the player at United, this report upholding the 23-year-old’s unhappiness with not getting the number seven jersey will only add fuel to the fire. Fans might not take this news well and end up not being on the player’s side.
Will Jadon Sancho leave Manchester United in the upcoming winter transfer window?
There have been reports of tiffs between the winger and the United manager Erik ten Hag. As stated by the manager, he was not pleased with the player’s efforts and performance at the training ground. It was the reason behind him not being included in the squad against Arsenal. However, the London-born athlete countered his manager’s opinion with the remarks of him being a “scapegoat” in the club.
However, according to the reports, the 23-year-old has also lost the support of his teammates at Manchester United. Earlier, Saudi Pro League club Al-Ettifaq made a loan move approach for the youngster, but the deal fell through on the deadline day. The Englishman was also not pleased by this deal not going through. He consulted United’s hierarchy on the reason for the failure of the deal.
19-year-old Alejandro Garnacho is being picked by the manager Erik ten Hag ahead of Sancho. Having joined the Premier League side in July 2021, his current contract with the Red Devils runs till June 2026. But, as things stand the left winger could be headed on an early exit, in the upcoming winter transfer window. As per reports, his former club Borussia Dortmund is willing to prepare a move for him in the next transfer window.
