American soccer player Weston McKennie recently told a story about his days at Juventus with Cristiano Ronaldo. As the American starts a new chapter in his life after joining Premier League’s Leeds United, he told a funny story that was released in a behind-the-scenes video put out by Leeds.
He says, “One story with Ronaldo. He was getting a massage and I was walking by and said, ‘Oh my gosh, your feet look terrible!’ and he said ‘My friend, these feet are worth one billion euros [$1.093 billion]’. I said ‘You’re right, respect’.”

This proves as just another example of how much the Portuguese icon takes his job seriously. He also considers himself to be one of the best and keeps working hard to get better.
Just like Ronaldo has made a move to a new country after signing with Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, McKennie has also made his move. The forward signed for Leeds and became the latest player in the list of Americans to join Leeds. He will be playing alongside Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson under American manager Jesse Marsch.
Before the beginning of Premier League game week 22, Leeds is in the 15th spot. They have notched up 19 points in an underwhelming season and have a game in hand over 16th-placed West Ham United.

In 2009, Real Madrid paid a world record fee to Manchester United of over $130 million for Ronaldo. He was the reigning FIFA world player of the year. The Spanish giants were taking no chances in protecting their investment as they insured his legs for more than $100 million.

Ronaldo had received pretty hefty attention in pre-season games which led Real Madrid to take such a decision. In the three pre-season appearances for Madrid, he had suffered 34 fouls. The friendly matches Madrid played were against Shamrock Rovers, Liga de Quito, and Juventus.

All-in-all it turned out to be one of the best investments Real Madrid has ever made. Ronaldo’s nine years at the Spanish capital were filled with glory. He won 16 major trophies in total with Madrid. They included four UEFA Champions League, three UEFA Super Cups, three Club World Cups, two Copas del Rey, two La Liga titles, and two Spanish Super Cups.
He made 438 competitive appearances for the club and scored 451 goals while winning four Ballons d’Or awards. Thus, he became part of the club’s history as nobody has scored as many goals for Real Madrid as the Portuguese attacker.
