Cristiano Ronaldo went through a rather sluggish second stint with Manchester United in Europe. The 38-year-old slowly ran out of favor with the club’s manager and hierarchy. However, after his exit from the Premier League side, the veteran signed for the Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr in a highly introspected move.
Since joining Al-Nassr Cristiano Ronaldo has been firing on all cylinders in the Saudi League. The number seven contributed heavily to his club’s Arab Cup Championship glory. CR7’s on-field presence elevates Luis Castro’s Al-Nassr to perform at the highest level.
In a report published by ‘Transfer News Live’ on ‘X’, the veteran forward has stated his opinion regarding his stint in the Saudi Pro League with Al-Nassr. CR7 expressed – “There is a great regret that I did not come to Al-Nassr Saudi Club earlier”.

The Portugal captain further asserted – “But I am very happy now and I will give Al-Nassr twice what I gave in Europe”. From his statements, it seems like CR7 is making quite a bold promise to Al-Nassr’s hierarchy and fans in regard to his commitment to the club.
Having witnessed such words coming straight from the player himself, it can be pointed out that Al-Nassr has done a great job of taking proper care of CR7. Also, the Portuguese forward has been a regular feature in the playing 11 of his club, something which he was denied at Manchester United during his time in England.
Cristiano Ronaldo on his chances of heading back to Europe
CR7 was rather pessimistic about his chances of returning to Europe in the future. The forward player expressed his opinion unhesitatingly regarding the matter. Ronaldo reportedly stated – “I’m 100 percent sure I won’t return to any European club. I am 38 years old”.
He further mentioned the loss of “quality” in European soccer. When asked about the MLS, the veteran stated – “The Saudi League is better than MLS”. “Now all the players are coming here”, he commented, further praising the Saudi Pro League.
CR7 remains hopeful that in the coming time, more star players will venture into the Saudi League. It can be inferred from Ronaldo’s statements that he is pretty much enjoying his time in the Middle East and has no plans as of yet to venture into European soccer again.
However, the soccer market has an unpredictable nature. So, anything can’t be taken for granted. Al-Nassr’s management will surely hope that their star forward continues to perform brilliantly for them. They would wish that he propels them to compete for the league title.
