It has been almost a month since Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Saudi outfit Al-Nassr. And expectedly enough had the eyes of the media and the fans all this time. He’s comfortably the biggest name to ever step foot in the Saudi Pro League and the locals are absolutely delighted to get a glimpse of him or even take his pictures if possible.
The Portuguese has had a tricky relationship in the near past with fans with mobile phones. However, it seems like that was a one-time thing.
Cristiano Ronaldo created a lot of buzz with his surprising decision to leave Europe for Saudi Arabia. Although a large part of fans and media have said that money is the biggest reason behind his move, the Portuguese denied those claims again and again. Ronaldo played his first match in Saudi on January 19, against a very unlikely opponent, PSG.

Although the French giants won the match by a thrilling 5-4 scoreline, Ronaldo stole the show outclassing Lionel Messi. He scored two goals in his 60 minutes for the Riyadh All Stars and grabbed the Man of the Match as well. However, it was a friendly match. Since he has played two matches in an Al-Nassr shirt and has failed to impress massively.
Cristiano’s competitive debut against Ettifaq was a forgetful one. Although Al-Nassr won the match 1-0 Ronaldo didn’t have a sniff at the Ettifaq goal. The following match was much more important as it was the semi-final of the Saudi Super Cup. King Fahd Stadium saw Al-Nassr lose the match by 3-1 to Al-Ittihad. Ronaldo had a match to forget who barely had a chance to make an impact.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s hilarious reaction to being filmed by fans in a restaurant
Cristiano Ronaldo, approaching 38 very soon, is one of the most marketable faces in the world. Inform or not, cameras follow the Portuguese wherever he goes. Since the materialization of the deal, Ronaldo has been spotted having dinner with a Saudi Billionaire, who is happened to be the Sports minister of Saudi.
As he doesn’t have a permanent residence there yet, he is living in the super luxurious Four Seasons Riyadh hotel. The hotel authorities have strictly prohibited the workers as well as the other visitors not to bother him for photos. He is no stranger to fan attention but he did something unexpected and funny in response to the fans filming him.
On January 28, a YouTube channel AS Diary posted a short clip. The clip shows Cristiano Ronaldo escorted by security entering a restaurant. Expectedly the fans present at the restaurant took their phones out and started filming the superstar. In response, the Portuguese hilariously took his own phone out and started filming the fans back, with a smile.
Ronaldo once smashed a fan’s phone
Ronaldo watched two Al-Nassr matches from the bench, before making his debut. He wasn’t injured, and neither was unfit by any means. The star man was punished to serve a two-match ban.
The story goes back to his time in Manchester. Manchester United faced a 1-0 loss at the hands of Everton on April 9, 2022, in Goodison Park. Cristiano Ronaldo and United were left frustrated with the defeat. Things went even worse when the teams were going back to the tunnel.
Ronaldo allegedly smashed a 14-year-old Everton fan’s phone off his hands onto the ground. That young fan’s mother filed a police case against Ronaldo and the Portuguese himself apologized for his temperamental act through his Instagram. During the World Cup FA decided to hand Ronaldo a two-match ban, which apparently followed him to Saudi as well.

Ronaldo’s impulsive action wasn’t right and he apologized for the same and also had punishment. He is also a human being like us and has clearly learned from his mistake in the past.
