Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the biggest names to ever step foot on a soccer pitch. He is currently at the twilight end of his career and he doesn’t have a club. He is a free agent at this very moment. The clubs that are rumored to be interested in signing him are Arsenal, Chelsea, and Al-Nassr.
Cristiano Ronaldo has had a disappointing half-a-season so far. It all started with him not agreeing to come on in the dying minutes of a 2-0 Manchester United victory over Spurs. He was left out of the squad completely in the following match as punishment. Erik ten Hag always preferred a fit Anthony Martial over Cristiano and it definitely didn’t fit well with him.
Cristiano Ronaldo: “I love Man Utd, I love the fans, they’re always on my side. But if Manchester United want to do it different… they’ve to change many, many things”. 🚨🔴 #MUFC
“Here the progress has been ZERO since Sir Alex Ferguson left the club”.

Just before the World Cup, he sat on for an explosive interview with Piers Morgan and completely obliterated the club authorities and the manager. Manchester United decided to terminate his contract immediately as a result.
He is a free agent now and not many clubs are interested to take a gamble this massive. Only Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Nassr has submitted a lucrative deal for the Portuguese. Cristiano wants to play in the Champions League and Al-Nassr cannot offer him that.
William Gallas urges Chelsea to buy Cristiano Ronaldo
Chelsea has been in shambles since the departure of Roman Abramovich. The change of ownership hasn’t suited Chelsea at all so far. Thomas Tuchel won Chelsea the Champions League in his first season. Even he couldn’t kickstart the season well. Englishman Graham Potter has been appointed as the Chelsea manager but with no effect, just yet.
The absence of a pure number 9 is Chelsea’s core problem. Kai Havertz isn’t a proper striker and Albanian Armando Broja is too young to be the man. The Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has shown an ardent interest to sign Cristiano Ronaldo back in the summer. He will get that opportunity again in January.
Former Chelsea and France defender William Gallas has suggested Chelsea buy Cristiano Ronaldo for the remainder of the season. He said, “Chelsea have to buy a striker. They have to find the right striker who fits the system. Chelsea are in the position where they are not scoring many goals, and Ronaldo could do that” to Genting Casino in an interview.
He also added, “It would have been difficult for him at the World Cup on the bench, so he needs time to think to avoid a similar situation to what happened at Man United. If he goes to Chelsea, it should only be until the end of the season but I think he could do a good job there.” Chelsea can provide Cristiano with his favored Champions League soccer at this moment and he must be open to joining the Blues.
