Manchester United parted ways with the Spanish goalkeeper in July 2023. He joined the English side in 2011 from Atlético Madrid.

As per the reports, The Red Devils are set to re-sign the Spanish goalkeeper on a short-term contract in the upcoming winter transfer window. The English club is looking for alternatives when their current goalkeeper Andre Onana leaves for the AFCON (Africa Cup of Nations) in January 2024.
