Cristiano Ronaldo is without a doubt one of the greatest soccer players to have ever played the game. It is widely believed that the reason for the Portuguese’s success is his work ethic and dedication on the field.

Ronaldo is known for his hard work and give it all attitude. various teammates over the years have said that he was the earliest to come to training.

The Portuguese was a part of the famed ‘BBC’( Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, and Cristiano Ronaldo) trio at Real Madrid. He opened up about his relationship with the two some years back during his Madrid days. The former Real Madrid man stated that his relationship with the two was not of having fancy dinners, hugs, and kisses off the field. But it was a pure teammate approach as winning on the pitch mattered the most to him.

Journalist: “Is it true your relationship with Bale and Benzema is not as good as Messi with Suarez and Neymar?”

He said: “Dinners, hugs, and kisses, these things don’t matter to me. What matters is winning on the pitch.”

Ronaldo also opened up about his first stint at Manchester United. He stated that his relationship with some of the legends there was limited off the field but the on-field understanding between the players was unreal.

He said: “When I was at Manchester winning the Champions League, with some players like Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand, and Paul Scholes our discussions were limited to ‘Good morning’ and ‘Good night.’ But when we were on the pitch together there was total understanding.”

It has always been known that Ronaldo prioritizes winning on the field much above everything else. The 5-time Ballon d’Or winner possesses a career like no other and having such dedication is key.

Only winning mattered to Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo is probably the greatest player in the history of Real Madrid. His 9-year stay at the club was laden with trophies and the player won every trophy he competed for at the club.

He won three–peat UCL titles with Real Madrid together with the formidable duo of Bale and Benzema. The Al-Nassr talisman finished with 4 UCL trophies with Real Madrid while also winning the FIFA Club World Cup thrice.

It’s 12 years to the day since Real Madrid unveiled Cristiano Ronaldo.

Cristiano also won the La Liga titles twice with Real Madrid while also winning the Copa Del Rey a couple of times. Individually, Ronaldo won 4 of his 5 Ballon d’Or during his time at Real Madrid before bidding adieu in 2018.

His biggest achievement would most probably be the UEFA Euro 2016 win with Portugal. Ronaldo has always talked about winning a trophy with his nation and he achieved this dream in 2016.

Ronaldo will go down as one of the best players in history together with his rival Lionel Messi. It has always been regarded as the battle of ‘talent v/s hard work’ and Cristiano has taken the game to Messi at every point of asking with his hardworking mentality.
