Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos are two of the most iconic players in the history of Real Madrid. Ronaldo and Ramos’ legacy at Real Madrid is par to none. The two stars combined to win the UEFA Champions League four times and La Liga twice. They also won the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup thrice as well as the Copa Del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup twice.

Sergio Ramos left Sevilla to join Real Madrid for around $28 million back in 2005, becoming the costliest Spanish defender in history. The PSG defender was also the first player that Florentino Perez bought as the president of Real Madrid. Ramos put on a string of impressive performances that saw him becoming one of the four captains of the club at the start of the 2009-10 season.
While Ramos has had many incredible moments at the club, none comes close to his goal in the dying seconds of the Champions League final in 2014. The 2010 World Cup winner scored the equalizing goal against Atletico Madrid deep into extra time. Not only did Ramos’ goal keep Real Madrid alive but it also inspired them to clinch a 4-1 victory that secured them their 10th Champions League title.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo joined Real Madrid from Manchester United during the 2009-10 season. The club paid $100 million for the Al-Nassr star which made him the world’s costliest player at the time. He broke several records during his 9 years at the club. Ronaldo also became the club’s all-time leading goalscorer with 451 goals in just 438 appearances. However, in this article, we will take a look at Ronaldo’s assists for Ramos.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s first assist for Sergio Ramos
Despite playing together for 9 years, Cristiano Ronaldo has only provided three goals for Sergio Ramos. Unlike most defenders, Ramos is a prolific goalscorer. The Spanish defender has scored 72 goals in 469 appearances for Real Madrid. Moreover, Ronaldo’s role at Real Madrid was more of a striker and not a playmaker.

Ronaldo’s pass was beautifully met by Ramos as he rose the highest to open the scoring in the match. The rest of the scorers for Madrid were Gonzalo Higuain, Karim Benzema, and Ronaldo himself (via TransferMarket).
Ronaldo’s second assist for Ramos against Valencia
It took about four years for Cristiano Ronaldo to provide an assist for Sergio Ramos again in a La Liga clash against Valencia in the 2013-14 season. In what was an important match in deciding the league winners, Real Madrid went down 1-0 in the first half. However, Ronaldo had an excellent performance that day, as he ended with one assist and the equalizing goal in a 2-2 draw.

Ronaldo helped Ramos grab the equalizer in the 59th minute as the former Manchester United star nodded the ball into Ramos’ path inside the box. For Ramos, it was a simple finish as he headed past the Valencia keeper into the net for his 3rd goal of the season.
Despite Ramos’ equalizer, Valencia went ahead again after former Real Madrid midfielder Dani Parejo scored for Valencia. Ronaldo, however, refused to give up as Real Madrid continued their pursuit of an equalizing goal. Real Madrid’s goal finally came three minutes into injury time as Ronaldo provided a stylish finish from Angel Di Maria’s cross.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s final assist for Sergio Ramos
