Cristiano Ronaldo is now in search of a new club, following his contract termination at Manchester United. The announcement came a few days after his explosive interview with Piers Morgan. Ronaldo is now a free agent and according to CBS Sports, has been offered a huge $225 million offer to join Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia. The Portuguese had also been offered a move by the Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal in the summer at a similar wage.
Who owns Al-Nassr?
Al Nassr is a Saudi Arabian club based in Riyadh. It was formed in 1955, and its home stadium is Mrsool Park. The stadium has a capacity of 25000. It is one of the most successful clubs in Saudi Arabia, having won nine Saudi Pro League titles. Its current chairman is Musalli Al Muammar, appointed after the previous board was disbanded for financial and management irregularities.
The club’s shirt sponsor is Etihad Airways. They have offered Ronaldo $225 million altogether for a three-year deal. Ronaldo would be earning a whopping $75 million a year, around $1.5 million per week at the club. If Ronaldo does accept the contract, it would not take long for other terms of the deal to be finalized.
How much is Cristiano Ronaldo really worth?
In his interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo said the amount of money he has is similar to his followers on Instagram. According to some reports, Ronaldo is estimated to be worth around $500 million, as of August 2022. Ronaldo has said in previous interviews as well, money is never a big motivator in his choice of clubs.

Despite being offered a huge amount of money, this was why Ronaldo rejected Al Hilal’s bid in the summer. He had chosen to stay at Manchester United, or find another top European club. This time around, the story is similar. Ronaldo is again looking to stay in Europe. But he would consider a move to the middle east if no other option arises. Ronaldo is most likely playing his last World Cup, similar to Lionel Messi.
If he performs well in the World Cup, there could be a few clubs in Europe, who can afford his wages, and who would be interested in signing the Portuguese.
