Shakira and Bizarrap have created a Latin track that has topped the charts in a manner that has never been seen before. They have bagged four Guinness World Records titles together for the track.
‘BZRP Music Sessions Vol. 53’ was released on YouTube on January 12 and became the most viewed Latin track on YouTube in 24 hours with 63,000,000. This was followed by another YouTube record. It became the fastest Latin track to reach 100 million views, according to the Guinness World Records website.
The Latin track, in which Shakira indirectly takes several digs at her ex, earned the record for being the most streamed Latin track on Spotify in 24 hours. It was played 14,393,342 by fans. By the time the week ended, it was played 80,646,962 times. This made the track the most streamed Latin track on Spotify in one week.
Official Adjudicator Michael Empric greeted the duo backstage at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. This was to celebrate their fantastic achievement. They were presented with their mountain of Guinness World Records certificates.

Apart from the four records broken by the Latin track, Shakira created another 10 records individually. Shakira earned the most No.1s on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart (12) by a female artist. According to Guinness, Shakira “also became the first female artist to replace herself at No.1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart when “BZRP Music Sessions Vol. 53” dethroned “Monotonía”, her duet with Ozuna.”
With a huge 67 weeks in total, Shakira has also spent “the most cumulative weeks at No.1 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart by a female artist.”
