The Gerard Pique-Shakira saga has just taken a new turn and it’s one that no one was expecting. It has been almost a year since Pique and Shakira separated with the Colombian singer moving to Miami with her children. Meanwhile, Pique continues to live with Clara Chia Marti and gets 10 days of the month with his children. However, as per the latest reports, Pique doesn’t want to spend much time with his kids.
Following Gerard Pique and Shakira’s split, the child custody agreement was revealed where Shakira would get custody of their children. However, Pique was allowed to spend a stipulated amount of time with his children each month, which was 10 days. Moreover, he would also be with his kids exclusively for all of the holidays except for the summer break.

However, according to several sources, Pique has demanded a reduction in the time with his children. PAN, a social networking site reported, “Gerard Piqué has requested a reduction in time with his children, according to the Spanish press. The former player wants to see them 5 or 6 days a month.“
The news comes as a shock since Gerard Pique and Shakira fought tooth and nail regarding the child custody arrangements. While Pique is happy with a limited time with his kids, he has managed to force Shakira to pay for each of his trips to Miami when he visits his children.
Gerard Pique doesn’t want to see his kids often despite planning to buy a house in Miami
Gerard Pique is looking to buy a house in Miami despite not wanting to spend much time with his kids. Pique has been in Miami since April 27 after he finished his vacation with Clara Chia in the UAE. Although the reason for Pique’s visit was to have some time with his children, he is looking to buy a house near the mansion where Shakira has been living.
As per Canal RCN, Pique is looking to buy a house in Brickell, a posh area in Miami. His house will also be only around 20 minutes away from Shakira’s mansion. Pique also reportedly wants his house to be bright and spacious with a minimum of rooms and a common area for his kids, Sasha and Milan.
However, Pique’s desire to not spend much time with his kids contradicts his plans of living in Miami. As per sources, if Gerard Pique chooses to live in Miami, he will be able to apply for joint custody of his children. Although Shakira is reportedly against this, both Shakira and Pique’s lawyers are yet to finalize the details about that.
