Gerard Pique’s reputation has suffered lately ever since news about him cheating on Shakira broke out last year. The retired soccer player was one of the best defenders of his time but has been in trouble with the media since his retirement.
Pique recently opened up about his behavior during his early days in soccer. This was a time before he started dating Colombian singer, Shakira. He talked about how he used to party all day and all night when Pep Guardiola was Barcelona’s manager.
Talking to Jijantes, he said: “With Pep, we had a spectacular relationship but the last year there was more tension. I was 22 years old and I was going out more than the sun, day in and day out”.

The former FC Barcelona player was a part of Pep’s Barca that won the famous sextuple in 2009. Pique added that they won everything that year and the only days he didn’t go out were on the match day and the day before.
He added: “We won everything. I only didn’t go out the day before and the day of the match.”
Pique was in the heart of the defense together with Barca legend Carles Puyol. Puyol had a great influence on Pique as a player and as a person during his initial days in the game.
He also talked about Puyol’s discipline and how he wouldn’t party at all and focused on his game. But he got into trouble with the media as soon as he partied multiple times.

Pique said: “Carles Puyol had been there for 11 years, but never came out. Then he came out two or three times and the rumors came out, he sh*t himself and didn’t come out anymore.”
It is quite interesting to know that Pique who looked cool and calm on the field was a party boy off the field. This is the first time Pique has talked about his off-field gimmicks from his soccer days.

Shakira found out about Pique’s infidelity because of a strawberry jam bottle. But this wasn’t the first time Pique has cheated on Shakira rather the former soccer player has allegedly done it countless times during their decade-long relationship.
The duo started dating in 2011 and are parents to two sons. Shakira instantly called off the relationship after she caught Pique cheating on her. But what should be of more interest to the fans is that this breakup could have occurred earlier if Shakira had caught Pique in his prior infidelities.
The celebrity singer would be relieved after finding out the horrific details about Gerard Pique. She has already finalized the custody of their children with Pique as she looks to move to Miami.
