Germany has named their new manager. According to the reports Nagelsmann has been appointed as the new manager of the German national team. The German-born manager will manage the team in the upcoming UEFA EURO in the year 2024. It is a gutsy appointment by the management as the 36-year-old has never coached a national side before.
Julian Nagelsmann will replace Hansi Flick. The 58-year-old was removed from the position earlier in the month of September 2023. Hansi Flick was shown the gate, as the team suffered their third continuous loss. His two-year and two-month term with the German team stretched from August 2021 to September 2023.

The newly appointed Nagelsmann had his fair share of experience from his coaching stint at the club level. According to the reports, his appointment as the German national coach is orchestrated till July 2024. He began his career as an assistant manager for TSG Hoffenheim in 2013. The 36-year-old will be the second youngest ever to manage Germany on the national stage.
On the other hand, before getting sacked Hansi Flick had coached the German team in a total of twenty-five matches. The 58-year-old earlier led the Bundesliga side FC Bayern Munich before joining the German national team. Flick managed Bayern for eighty-six matches from November 2019 to June 2021. Earlier he was also an assistant manager at the club.
It is quite surprising to know that he was also replaced at Bayern by Nagelsmann. There are quite a few similarities between both managers. Both of them prefer a formation of four-two-three-one while picking their team. Flick also got the German national job while coaching Bayern Munich and now Nagelsmann has been attributed with the same position.

The German-born manager has earlier managed clubs like FC Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig, and TSG Hoffenheim. In his eighty-four matches with the Bundesliga side Bayern Munich, he won sixty matches, while losing just ten of them. The 36-year-old averaged approximately 2.30 points per match at the club.
In his ninety-five matches as the manager for RB Leipzig, the German-born manager boosted of an impressive tally of fifty-four wins. With just nineteen losses, the team averaged approximately 1.95 points every match. However, when it comes to his earlier stint with TSG Hoffenheim, he stayed there for the most number of games.
Managing Hoffenheim for a hundred and thirty-six matches, he had fifty-five wins to his tally. The team lost thirty-seven matches during his time at the club while averaging close to 1.5 points every game. Now, it remains to be seen how his appointment as the manager of Germany pertains in the near future.
