Manchester United look worried after reports have surfaced regarding a change in the managerial role. The poor run of results in the 23/24 season has reportedly frustrated the United board. United began their 2023-34 campaign miserably. The Red Devils could only accumulate only nine points from their opening seven games.
The poor performances meant it was the worst start to a Premier League campaign in the club’s history. The club has since recovered in the PL rising to 6th on the table at the end of matchday 16. However, the club is still 10 points off arch-rivals Liverpool, who sit on top.
In the Champions League too, Manchester United haven’t fared very well. The team could only win one game and finished bottom of the group. The poor results have put the position of Erik ten Hag’s managerial position at risk.
The candidates for the job constitute a long list. United Board was exploring the possibility of signing former Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui, but the negotiations haven’t advanced. The new name on United’s radar is the English manager, Graham Potter. Fans have commented on this news on social media platform X.

Dr. Lomo however, decided to differ in his opinion. The X user trusted the capabilities of Graham Potter as Dr. Lomo believes that Potter would do great at Manchester United.
The reports linking Potter to United have surprised X user Schwarzenegger Chawke. He could not believe that after all ten Hag might leave The Red Devils. He questioned, “Is Erik leaving United?” The X user does not look convinced of Graham Potter, especially after his poor record at Chelsea.

Chelsea had fired its then manager, Thomas Tuchel after a poor start to the 22/23 season, which saw the coach fallout with the club’s new owner Todd Boehly. Potter was all set to be the coach to lead Chelsea’s new era.

But the English manager failed abysmally. The London-based club looked like a former shadow of self under Potter. The club announced the departure of Graham Potter after a 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa. Chelsea managed to win only 10 games in 22 Premier League games and was 11th on the table when Potter left. It was safe to say that Todd Boehly’s gamble didn’t work well.
The club co-owners thanked the former Brighton manager in a statement that follows: “On behalf of everyone at the club, we want to thank Graham sincerely for his contribution to Chelsea. We have the highest degree of respect for Graham as a coach and as a person. He has always conducted himself with professionalism and integrity and we are all disappointed in this outcome.”
Potter has since been a free agent. However, he could return to action in the form of the next Manchester United manager if ten Hag isn’t able to turn his situation around.
