Italian side AS Roma didn’t have the start they hoped for this season and are now looking to make a few changes in hopes of changing their situation. They are planning to part ways with the Portuguese boss Jose Mourinho.
According to reports, Roma is planning to sack Mourinho following a poor start to the season. Reports also suggest that they have already figured out Italian boss Antonio Conte as the perfect candidate to replace Mourinho.
Mourinho joined the Italian side back in 2021. He has managed the side on 117 occasions. The club under him has registered 57 wins, 26 draws and 34 losses. The former Real Madrid and Manchester United boss also helped the Italian side to win the Conference League in his first season at the camp.

However, under Mourinho this season, the club has had a very difficult start. His team played seven Serie A games, in which they had three defeats, two victories, and two draws.
Conte has been out of work after he left Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspurs in March this year. The former Chelsea manager has had earlier experience managing in this league as he was on Inter Milan’s hotseat a few years back leading them to Serie A victory.
Jose Mourinho reveals the ‘the biggest managerial offer in history’ amid rumors of a possible AS Roma sack
Jose Mourinho has reportedly revealed the “biggest and craziest offer” in managerial history. The former Manchester United boss’s future at the Italian club might be in jeopardy following the club’s poor start to the season.
In a recent interview, Mourinho addressed the rumors of a possible departure from Roma. He also talked about how he recently rejected Saudi side Al Hilal’s lucrative deal.
The Portuguese manager said, “I don’t read the papers, listen to the radio or watch the TV. But I have friends, I have players, I have assistants, I have people who, even if I don’t want to know, inform me of things. I won’t accept it. Because it’s not true. I’m not the problem. In football, and in life too, there are multiple factors.

Mourinho then added by saying, “It’s the same when you win: you can’t say one person is responsible for it. We all are. Lots of little things are at play in a football club, a business, a political structure, an educational structure, and I know because I’ve worked in one. It’s always multiple factors.”
The former Inter Milan boss has been successful in his second stint at Serie A. He won the Europa Conference League with Roma in his initial season as the manager.
The club also reached the Europa League final in the second season under him. However, now his team needs to start winning games and getting points to maintain his place at the club.
