In a new viral video on YouTube, IShowSpeed finds out that Kylian Mbappe might be the son of Cristiano Ronaldo. Speed is seen watching a video explaining the actions of both soccer superstars claiming they might be father-son.
It starts with Speed checking Mbappe’s full name. It is Kylian Mbappe Lottin. He then checks for Ronaldo’s full name and finds that it is Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro Lottin. The ‘Lottin’ surname was found to be common. The video also talks about how both of them originally had curly hair.
However, there is absolutely no truth to this claim. The ‘Lottin’ at the end of Ronaldo’s name was photoshopped. He does not have Lottin as a surname like Mbappe. What also makes this suspicious is that Ronaldo, who will turn 38 on February 5, 2023, would need to have become a father at the age of 13 if Mbappe was his son. Mbappe, born on December 20, 1998, is 24 years old.
Cristiano Ronaldo is Kylian Mbappe’s idol
A father-son relationship is definitely out of the window, however, there is truth to Mbappe idolizing Ronaldo.
“He is a Real Madrid fan and his idol is Cristiano Ronaldo,” Mbappe’s father had said in 2016. “He used to spend hours watching videos [of Ronaldo] on the internet.”
Then, upon meeting Ronaldo on international duty, Mbappe posted him on Instagram. He posted an image alongside the Portuguese icon and captioned it “Idol”. It was accompanied by a crown and goat emoji. Joining hands with Lionel Messi at Paris Saint-Germain has not changed Mbappe’s views. He has made it clear in recent times as well that he is always on team Ronaldo.

Following Portugal’s elimination from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar at the hands of Morocco, Ronaldo issued a lengthy statement on Instagram. France’s Mbappe replied with the familiar emojis. Then on the eve of the World Cup final against Argentina, a fantastic final in which the Frenchman scored a hattrick while Messi scored a brace, Abdou Diallo revealed Mbappe was unmoved with his verdict.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is literally everything to Kylian Mbappe,” the PSG defender explained, according to The Mirror: “If you mention Lionel Messi against Cristiano, Mbappe will debate with you for at least an hour. For him, Cristiano is untouchable.”
Mbappe’s admiration again was on clear display during PSG’s visit to the Middle East. They were up against Ronaldo’s team of Riyadh All-Stars. The match ended 5-4 in favor of PSG. The pair shared a moment before the match and shortly after half-time.
